Griffin's Birthday Recap

Wrapping up the birthday festivities today with a quick recap of Griffin's special day.  She turned 7 last Friday and I feel like the picture below pretty much sums up our day :)

Before I recap Friday, I didn't want to forget that a couple of her friends weren't going to be able to make it to the birthday parade so on Wednesday they surprised Griffin with a little "driveway distancing".

The chatted it up and it took all of their willpower to not hug the HECK out of each other but we assured them that at some point they WILL be able to hug again.

It was so good for G to get to see her friends in person and a super special little party.

We started the morning off with presents in our pjs.  It was a VERY American Girl birthday!

Highlights of her day included a ZOOM call with her class...

... pizza and mozzarella sticks for lunch :) hahaha

And a surprise driveway visit by her teachers.

In all the bday festivities we didn't realize that it had dropped about 20 degrees and it was COLD out there! hahaha

That night we had breakfast for dinner (her FAVORITE) complete with donuts, pancakes, cheesy eggs, a fruit rainbow and BACON (her favorite food)...

After dinner my parents stopped by for orange sherbet with whipped cream - her bday dessert of choice.

It was such a sweet day!

Happy Tuesday, friends!!!

PS -  here is the link for the balloon arch kit I used to create her arch... I honestly could have used HALF the balloons and been fine but for the sheer amount of balloons you get it was a great deal!  The balloons are great quality and I blow everything up with  this balloon pump - it's fast and easy and I've blown up thousands of balloons with it and it's still going strong.  I blow up the mylar balloons with it as well.

As requested here are links to some of the gifts in the post (I bought the ballet barre back in December and it was about $50 cheaper... so maybe keep an eye out for a price drop)

  7. Does the balloon pump "float" large mylar or do the mylar balloons need helium?
