Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!!! It's my LAST Friday of summer and I'm determined to not be sad.  This summer has been wonderful - we've had a great balance of downtime and playtime and getting things done.  I have SO ENJOYED the break with my kids and am nothing but thankful that I get this time off with them.  I'm excited about this school year professionally and for my kids and am determined to be hyped up for all of our sakes as we head into the next couple of weeks... even if that means I have to get up early :)

Erika Narci and I are all sharing our FAVORITES from the week and if you'd like to join us all you have to do is grab our graphic, link back to one (or all) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.

First up is this...

... just in case August in Texas wasn't hot enough we just got a taste of PERFECT cool weather in CO and so now I'm just bitterly awaiting Fall here in Texas. If you're wondering I'll be waiting for the 10 weeks or so.

These two are each others FAVORITES (actually, Dave is Jellybean's favorite) and they were inseparable when we got back from our trip.  They missed each other!

Luke has been at a leadership camp at our church all this week and it has been his FAVORITE!  They learned a lot, played a LOT and served at several local charities and aid organizations which was his FAVORITE part.  And yes... this "mid sentence" soaking wet pic was the best one we got :)

I needed to pick up another task lamp for my classroom (I have a document camera that needs some extra light) and my FAVORITE one in my FAVORITE color was half off!  All three of my kids have these on their desks in their bedrooms and they're fantastic and a total steal even at the regular price.

Speaking of IKEA they redid the cafe area at the one local to us and this wall was G's FAVORITE...

Since Luke was at church all day it was jus tme and these two for errands and such and their little friendship is my FAVORITE.  It definitely runs hot and cold but they really do have so much fun together.

We had to swing through PetSmart and this cutie was laying it on THICK to bring home this kitty.

We were at Dave's grandma's house this week and looked through some of their old photo albums.  I have a new FAVORITE picture of Dave :)

We also did one of our FAVORITE service projects this week... and even Gary helped.

Griffin really fell in love with  her Birkenstocks on our trip - making her mama proud!  She wore them hiking, in the creek, scootering and everywhere in between.  Officially her new FAVORITE!

That giant messy bun is my FAVORITE!!!

Just when I thought my FAVORITE place (Playstreet Museum) couldn't get any cuter they went and added a Slime Lab...

Making slime NOT AT HOME and it was fantastic!!!  The glue was all pre-measured in their little containers and then there was someone there who helped them add their activator and little styrofoam fillers and stuff and they had a blast!

So proud of their slime!!!

While we were there Mason also made this really cool "boat scene" that he asked me to document and show Luke :)

Complete with fisherman...

... and paddleboarder :)

Another FAVORITE has been  this side tank for  our ice machine.  It magnetically attaches to the side of the machine and is SO CONVENIENT!  I love that you don't have to remove the ice bucket to fill the well and that you can see how much water is left. It keeps the ice level high and it was WELL worth the price.

And last, but most DETINITELY not least my all-time FAVORITE drink is back at Starbucks!  Do yourself a favor and order a Peach Green Tea Lemonade.  TRUST ME.  It was my go-to for EVER and then they took it away and it's been unavailable for a few years but IT'S BACK!!!

Happy HAPPY Friday, friends!!!

  1. I must have missed the initial post about the ice machine. LOOKS AWESOME! And I'm going to have to try that lemonade!

  2. Whenever you head back to school, it always signals the first day of fall for me. How many fall memes do you think we'll send back and forth to each other this year? Like a thousand? Probably. xo

  3. you always make me want to buy that ice machine! I love ice!

  4. The best part is the last picture noting CAT FOOD AND CRICKETS. Hahaha. Happy Weekend!

  5. That slime station is amazing! You seriously do have one of the best museums I've ever seen right near you. How lucky!

  6. A slime lab! That is the best idea! I would love to send my kids elsewhere to make it. Also, I so wish I had room for a pebble ice machine at home. I'm going to keep working on the hubs to get rid of his coffee pot so I can have ice for my tea!
