Spring Break - Part 1

I mentioned on Friday how great spring break was for our family and as I'm sifting through pictures I'm even more grateful for the much-needed time off!  We're rested and READY for 4th quarter!

We scootered...

... cruised the golf course...

... and enjoyed the most GORGEOUS sunset.

We threw rocks...

... channeled our inner-superstar...

... and spent time exploring at Eisenhower State Park.

Eisenhower is about an hour north of us and has a really cool swimming beach/inlet with caves you can climb to and explore.  Dave and I had been years ago but this was our first time to take the kids and they had SO MUCH FUN!

We climbed, jumped, skipped rocks, timed out the waves, caught ladybugs and tried to take "algae samples" :)

We've found that sometimes the best plans are no plans and after walking up to this little overlook...

... we headed back down to skip more rocks, climb more and take another trip out to the caves.

Can you spy Luke???

Despite it being COLD everyone had to get their feet in the water...

It was a GREAT DAY!!!

We spent a LOT of time outside...

... went on more golf cart rides...

... and even played some tennis :)

More on the last few days of break later this week!  Happy Monday, friends!!!

  1. All I see are pictures of HAPPY kiddos!!! PS: Quarter FOUR?! Yes!!!!!!!

  2. What a great week. Our Spring Break is 2 weeks away and I cannot wait for some downtime with my family. We are staying home but doing little adventures. I cannot believe that it is already this time of year. I hope you all have a great 4th quarter!

  3. Yay for spring break slow days! And double yay for 4th quarter! We homeschool, have 10 more weeks and the countdown has begun;).
