Today I'm talking summer plans and sharing the news that our family is headed to FAMILY CAMP!!!!
That's right - we're going to head up to Sky Ranch in Colorado to do summer camp as a family - and we can't wait!!! We've been BIG FANS of the Sky Ranch programs the boys have participated in during previous summers and we're looking forward to horseback riding, campfires, an alpine swing, theme nights and lots of lots of family time (and cooler temperatures!).
I'm not sure the kids have ever been so excited about a trip!
Other plans for the summer include VBS, science camp at school and a week in Broken Bow with friends.
I'd love to know what you're going to be up to this summer - do you have big vacation plans? Staying close to home? Share in the comments!!!
Happy Monday, friends!!!
I loved hearing Mason talk about it yesterday!! I can't wait to see all of the pics!
ReplyDeleteYour crew is gonna have so much fun at camp! I can’t wait to read all about it!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I’d love to do something like that with my crew.
ReplyDeleteOur plans for summer vacation include: summer reading programs from all 3 local libraries, VBS, a minor league baseball game, swimming, putt putt golf and a few days at Holland Mi
We are in Colorado right now for the week escaping Houston heat! Have fun at camp!
ReplyDeleteMy little family of three planned to sample from your previous Colorado vacations in July. But in the Spring, we bought a "fixer upper" so all our summer vacation plans were scrapped. We're bummed, but hope to find some fun things to do around here and try again next summer.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! we're kicking off with VBS today! Yay summer!
ReplyDeleteMy son works at Sky Ranch Horne Creek! Look him up, Will Cooke, he can be, your inside guy.
ReplyDeleteWhat week will you be there? Will you be at Meadows or Lodge? Westcliffe is so beautiful. Y'all will have a wonderful time!
We're spending a week at my parent's house in DC and taking a big family vacation to Disney in August! We also have VBS, Cheer Camp & Y Camps thrown in there. Oh... and I'm a nanny for my 18 month old niece all summer! It's going to be a busy one!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I just returned from San Antonio yesterday, celebrating 10 years of marriage. Being from Georgia and unfamiliar with the area, we took some cues from your trip and stayed at Hotel Contessa. We walked a mile to Lulu’s to grab the 3lb cinnamon roll! Thanks for your tips!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My son just returned from a week at Pine Cove Silverado, a Christian camp in Columbus, TX. He had an absolute blast! It was his first week away and he did great (and Mom survived okay too- hehe)
ReplyDeletePine Cove has great family camps! My kids have done their "Camp in the City" day camps in TN for several years but always beg to do family camp but TX is too far away!!
DeleteAmazing!! My daughter goes to a traditional summer camp and they do family camps as well... we try to go to the mother / daughter weekend every year. Seems like kind of a lost art these days but such incredible moments and memories... can't wait to hear all about it! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun! I would love to do something like that with my family!
ReplyDeleteWe’re heading on a road trip to South Dakota to see Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Badlands, etc. We’ve never been so we’re excited to explore SD!
ReplyDeleteMy old roommate and her husband work that family camp! Kyle and Brittany Hess--they and their children pack up every summer and go to Colorado! They are amazing, so I'm sure camp will be too. Hope y'all have a blast!
