Happy Monday, friends! I'm going into this last full week of school with my tank FULL from a great weekend with my crew.
Friday night we celebrated the end of the week with pizza and swimming. And some of us partied so hard they fell asleep outside :)
Saturday morning we met friends from an impromptu breakfast on the square. The weather was so nice, the food was delicious and the company was the best!
Griffin and I headed straight from breakfast to dance pictures!
She was SO EXCITED to wear blush! :) hahaha
I mean! Cutest class ever! Can't wait to see the official pictures.
Luke had a baseball game...
... and then we spent the rest of the afternoon in the water...
Sunday morning Griffin's eye was pretty swollen and yuck so she and I hung out at home while my parents took the boys to church.
I was disappointed to not all be together for Mother's Day but she and I ended up having a sweet little morning together.
G helped me prep potatoes while we watched church online...
Mother's Day flowers from my loves!
Griffin and I also baked an apple pie for dessert....
And while I was cleaning up downstairs after lunch the kids yelled from upstairs, "can we put stickers on Mason?" and I reminded them that they might be hard to get off and they said they'd be careful so I was all "why not". Well... apparently I should have asked which stickers because he came down later covered in about 1000 little mosaic foam stickers. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!?!
Yes... that's a monocle and a mustache :)
Griffin even gave him a sweet little rainbow on his belly. I literally had no words.
But you know what?!?! They cleaned it up, had a blast and no harm no foul in my book!
After the sticker fiasco we headed outside to try out one of the new floats that Gram and Papa Mac gave them for their birthdays...
We got the table set...
... made a few place cards...
... and had a great dinner with my parents.
I wish I could say that I crashed early - but unfortunately I just spent several hours grading papers and then wrapped up this post :) hahaha
It was a great weekend and I'm so grateful for all the love shown to me by my family - they know how to make a mama feel special!
HAPPY MONDAY, FRIENDS!!!

Mason covered in stickers is HILARIOUS!!!!!! Totally made my morning!
ReplyDeleteWell, I thought that first picture couldn't be topped (it looked so cozy!!!)...and then I saw Griffin in her dance recital costume. All the heart eyes!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a funfilled weekend. Wow I’m super impressed with the artistic sticker body lol. They did a great job!
ReplyDeleteI’m thinking your kiddos might have a future in body art. That was pretty good!! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my stars!! Griffin in her costume is just adorable!! So glad you had such a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEeeps! Let them be little, right? Adore the teamwork art that was stickered Mason!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend. I love those plates! Happy Mothers Day!
ReplyDeleteGREAT, GREAT weekend it looks like!
ReplyDeleteI saw your Instagram live - and I know you mentioned one thing you wanted... And there was a lot of confusion as to what you said --- Did you get either one of those "p" words? ;) ha ha ha!
Oh my gosh - those stickers are AWESOME!!! How creative are your kids? And I feel for G - I would get bit by mosquitos (and sometimes a spider) when I was little, and my eyes/face would always swell up. The good thing is I grew out of it, and now a mosquito bite isn't too bad as an adult. Avon Skin So Soft works well for at night, as a deterrent...my mom would just spray some on my face and arms. But on the nights we'd forget, that's when I'd get bit. :(
ReplyDeleteThat dance picture is adorable with those heel taps and one little boy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteMason covered in stickers made me laugh out loud! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLots of favorites this weekend! I hope you had the Happiest of Mother's Days;).
ReplyDeleteCould you ask Gram and Papa Mac where they bought the pool float? I would love to get one for our pool when the grands come over!
ReplyDeleteMason can totally rock that look!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paper is Griffin painting on? My kids love to paint
