Happy Monday, friends! This weekend was so much fun and has left us WIPED!
Friday was the culmination of Noah's Ark Week and the Pre-K kids all had to come dressed as an animal. Griffin wasn't about to turn down a chance to ditch her polo and plaid for an extra large helping of pink so she went as a flamingo :)
Friday afternoon we had a staff meeting and since it was the last day of the quarter I stayed at school for a while wrapping up report cards and prepping some projects/lessons for next quarter.
The kids were all exhausted on Friday night and Griffin didn't even make it through dinner before she was zonked out.
Saturday morning we hung out at home and Griffin played in her "office" in her room :) She LOVES imaginative play and seriously played up here all morning.
While G played I cleaned and redid her little shelf/wall area for Fall :)
Mason had a football game and he played GREAT (and we didn't grab a single pic!) Saturday afternoon we started spotting butterflies in our front lantana and had the best time sitting and watching them come and go...
Griffin was sitting here waiting for one to come by and....
... look what flew straight toward me!
Saturday night the boys, my dad, Luke's friend and I headed to BINGO night at school. We love these nights and even though we didn't win a round or the big drawing at the end we had a great time.
The boys were all playing together SO WELL when we got home that they played all the way until 1 am. Yes... 1 a.m. Dave had a wedding at the club and didn't get home until around 12:45 and they were having the best time.
Right before lights out :)
This was all of our moods on Sunday morning when the boys were up and playing Legos BEFORE SIX A.M!!! Oh. My. Word.
Sunday we woke up to GORGEOUS temperatures and lots more butterflies out back. We literally sat out on this ledge and they landed on our fingers!
It sat there for a few seconds flapping it's wings and then took off to the lantana at the back of the house. It was such a cool moment - absolutely beautiful!
Sunday afternoon my parents joined us for an afternoon/evening at the fair and the only pic I'm going to share today is this one because it's late and I am WIPED! ;) We played the games, rode the rides, ate a burger with funnel cakes for buns, won a giant inflatable chair and got in a trumpet battle - it was a good time! I'll share more pictures and details of our day hopefully tomorrow.
Happy Monday, friends!!!
Happy Monday! Looks like you had a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the butterflies!! I'm in Mi and planted a butterfly bush last fall ( it was itty bitty $3 clearance ) well it took off like crazy and this year we saw tons come and go! It's so fun for the kids to experience... I'm going to check into Lantana as well
ReplyDeleteYES! We have a butterfly bush out back as well so it's like butterfly heaven :)

DeleteLove all the pics, especially of Griffin and the butterflies. Your family is too cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Laura!
DeleteThe Monarchs are migrating! I'm so happy your kids got to experience them. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I heard - so cool! Feeling extra lucky to get to have experienced a bit of it.
DeleteWhat shoes are you wearing in the second picture with the calendar? They are so cute and look super comfy!
ReplyDeleteYes! This is what I was going to ask! They look so comfortable! What are they?
DeleteThanks!!! I'll share them this Friday if they end up being comfy after wearing them a few times :)
DeleteThose butterflies are so neat. My daughter would love for one to land on her.
ReplyDeleteIt was the sweetest thing!
DeleteThat's the perfect Fair dress!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I pulled it out on a whim and it ended up being so cute!
DeleteQuestion about the pictures/frames in Griffin's room! What size are the pictures/frames? And where did you get the frames? I LOVE the whole work and I may or may not copy it :)
ReplyDeleteThey're from IKEA! IF you search for "Griffin's room" in my search bar the post for her room should pop up and all the info is on that post
DeleteStaff meetings on a Friday afternoon?! I'm from a teacher fam and I've never heard of that! Great weekend pics!!
ReplyDeleteSchool gets out at 1:15 on Fridays (normally it's 3:15) so we have our staff meetings then. It's kind of a bummer but we're usually still out earlier than a normal school day.
DeleteOh makes total sense!! I thought you meant after school in Fridays and I'm like there's no way! Either way, you're almost to fri-yay! Best day of the week!
DeleteI love that you draw in your planner. #plannergoals. Also, I fell for your Fall wall in Griffin's room. Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! I have fun doing both :)
DeleteThis looks like such a fun weekend! I love state fairs!
