Weekend Recap - Last Weekend of Summer Editi

This was "officially" our last weekend of summer!  I have meetings this week and then in-service all of next week so this was really our final hurrah!

We marked the occasion by playing dress-up with Jack Bauer...

(while mommy was supposed to be cleaning out her closet because with limited summer days left I've started about 17,000 projects including MAJOR CLOSET PURGING!!!).

... hamming it up before getting in the pool...

... and playing with the hose to top of the pool water and cool down because the water is 94 degrees at this point in the summer!

PS - I saw our unicorn float   HERE this weekend for $30 which is the cheapest it's been anywhere all season!

Because it was SO STINKIN' HOT we decided to throw popsicles into the mix...

... and then after showers and dinner I headed out to a church event...

... where I kept it casual and breezy in a linen dress and kimono.

Saturday morning Dave, the kids and I went up to school and started moving things from my old classroom into my new one.  I worked for a few hours and was able to get everything moved in and started to get settled (even though there were still a TON of high school boxes in there I worked on my corner... the movers don't come until Thursday to move everything out but at least I got a start on it) ;)

Saturday afternoon Luke's bestie came over and my parents picked Mason up to take him to the lake.  I love it when Luke has friends over to play but it can be hard on both of them... Luke doesn't want to include Mason (which I get!) and Mason JUST wants to be included (which I also get!).  My parents taking him to the lake was perfect timing and he was absolutely thrilled to have their attention all to himself :)

The boys played, we swam, ate pizza, then swam some more...

Meanwhile, my mom was sending me pictures of all the crazy positions they kept finding Mason in.

Sunday morning GG sported her ice cream shoes....

... and was feeling extra twirly.

Meanwhile these boys got all dressed up for church ;)

Lincoln forgot his church clothes so Luke showed solidarity. hahaha

Friends at church!!!

And then this happened and I almost wet my pants I was laughing so hard :)  #truth

Has he ever looked cuter?!?! I think not!

After church Griffin played for close to an hour with Jack Bauer since Luke and Lincoln were playing upstairs and Mason was gone.  #littlesisterproblems

... and I dove right back into closet purging.   Mason got home later in the afternoon and we had EARLY bedtimes after a fun weekend.

We're trying to fit EVERYTHING in this week and are heading to the aquarium this morning and then plan on swimming all afternoon.  Hoping y'all had a wonderful weekend!

Happy Monday, friends!

  16. Odd question that has nothing to do with what you posted....but in the background of your linen dress/kimono picture, I see your handy dandy jewelry holder. How do you like it? Does your jewelry turn? I worry about that or not dusting enough. LOL
