Friday Favorites - Blanket Edition

Happy Friday, Friends!!! Cheers to the (almost) weekend! ;)

Today Erika, Narci and I are all sharing our FAVORITES from the week and we'd love it for you to share as well!  Grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share a post full of your favorites.

First up on my list this week is picture day!  You never know what they're going to look like by the time they actually have their photos taken so I like to snap one before school as proof that their faces were clean and hair was fixed :)

And speaking of cuties, check out the little stud in the pictures below :) We had dinner with Dave's parents, Stephen and Cynthia earlier this week and his mom brought these pictures.  SO CUTE!

This cutie's cheesy grin is my FAVORITE!
(no... that's not our car, house or license plate)

Y'all know how much I love my Evys Tree hoodies - well, they've extended their HUGE sale and you can get still an extra 30% off of sale items with the code EXTRA30.  It's a great way to grab a deal for yourself or for Christmas gifts! I have my eye on a couple for my boys teachers!

All my classes have tests today and so earlier this week we played LOTS of my favorite review game. If you missed it - check out my post HERE to find out all about an awesome review tool.

And yes... I mix in lots of random questions to shake it up a bit ;)

And seeing the nicknames that they pick crack me up ;)

This kids funny waiting room faces are my FAVORITE!  Every Thursday it's just me and him while we wait for Luke and we manage to (quietly!) have the best time.

Brushing Griffin's hair after bath time is one of my FAVORITE things to do.  I used to LOVE having my mom brush my hair and I absolutely adore taking a few minutes to sit on the bed and brush hers.

And look how much it curls up when it dries!  CRAZY!

April from Sew Chill sent GG this super cute apple cider tunic and OH MY WORD is it soft!
Griffin was counting the apple seeds :)

Dance moves :)

And OMG!

If you want one you can get it for 25% off with the code GRIFFIN25 this weekend :)

I grabbed these little jeggings at GAP last year for under $4 on clearance.  Seriously.  I cuffed them and can't wait to get her in some cute little Fall shoes.

And the sweet little braid was courtesy of the awesome girls at the country club.  BLESS!

Y'all know I'm a sucker for the kids art.  This weeks FAVORITES included these from Mason...

Apparently this is me and Jack Bauer :)

Earlier in the week I posted a baby picture of GG and then a few days later posted one of her hanging out in the garage.  I didn't even realize until I clicked on my IG profile later but LOOK!  It's almost the same pose and these were snapped almost exactly three years apart.  My FAVORITE girl!

I had to run into Target earlier this week to grab a couple of things and picked up these boots while I was there.  Unfortunately when I got them home they were too small on her (boo!), but have no fear - I tracked down a pair in her size up :)  Aren't they precious?!?!  I think they'll look so cute with dresses and jeans this Fall.

And while we're talking about Fall we NEED to talk about one of our FAVORITE things about cooler weather... snuggling!  Let's be real, we have our blankets out year round around here ;) and the Matilda Jane ones are AWESOME!!!

Right now if you spend $175 you can get the blanket for FREE!

I am loving all of these combo ideas to reach the $175 as well...

Cute! Cute! Cute!

It is INCREDIBLY soft and the jersey ruffle trim is so sweet.  It would be great as a gift for a friend and perfect for all your fall snuggling needs :)  They're only available while supplies last, so if you want one be sure to email your wishlist to katkempson@matildajaneclothing.com ASAP and put Andrea M in as your Jane.  If you have no clue what I was talking about when I mentioned wishlists, just sent an email to katkempson@matildajaneclothing.com and she'll help you out!

And last up on my list of FAVORITES this week is HALLOWEEN! My plan is to get decorations out today so wish me luck!  I felt like I knew what I was doing in our old house and now that we're here I feel like I need to figure it all out again... but it should be fun.

Mason has his first soccer game this weekend (Go Lil' Stangs!) and we have big plans to watch the new Star Wars movie.  I'm thinking an ice cream sundae watch party may be in order.

I hope y'all have a relaxing weekend!

  9. Your note about the students' nicknames had me cracking up - my 7th grader says in his Spanish class, the teacher let them all pick a name to use in Spanish, suggesting maybe a Spanish sounding name. He picked "Hola"....? Why?? So when the teacher goes around the room greeting them each day, when she gets to him she has to say "Hola Hola"!! Only a middle schooler would think of that :-D

  13. GG's hair is SO LONG when it's wet and straight!! I love how it curls when it dries. I swear, she reminds me of my baby cousin when she was her age. I used to baby-sit her back then and seeing pics of Griffin brings back memories. And now she's in college. WAAAAHHHH!

  15. Love kahoot!!! Had to share, once one of my students was randomly assigned the name whiskey! We have no idea how it happened and I'm positive she didn't type it in on her own. We were laughing so hard! Of course I had her restart so she could type in her real name!

  17. Do you have a Kahoot! name you would share? I was making a review game for my kiddos (7th grade math and pre-algebra) last Wednesday and wished there was a *good* one out there that I could just modify. I'd be happy to share mine too!!! It was frustrating. . .after 8 questions I tried it out with one of my kids (it's been a year since I've used it) and then went on and created about 20 questions. When I got to school only the 8 I made first were there!! I forgot to save. SO sad (and frustrated). . .hence the "I wonder if Andrea has any to share that I could quickly pull up in this situation". . .ha! I did quickly find a few that worked "ok". . .kids just love to play so all was well. . .can't wait to try your pumpkin oatmeal cookies too! (I only can catch up on reading during the weekend -- saw you posted those earlier this week). Hope your weekend was fabulous!
