Happy Friday, Friends!
First up on my list of FAVORITES this week is the dentist. Yes... the dentist. Mason's new FAVORITE place is Dr.Alexander's office. He had a check-up where he requested x-rays (just like his brother) and said he had the best time. hahaha
My FAVORITE part was seeing how teeny tiny he looks in the chair. #staylittleforever
Jack Bauer spent Monday at the vet getting a few booster shots and things like that and when we picked him up he was everybody's FAVORITE. There was much arguing and bargaining over who got to hold him in the car and for how long.
And when we got home he was still a hot commodity :)
A couple of Griffin's FAVORITE things??? Paint and mini marshmallows.
Luke's been loving him some Google Earth lately and he came home from school with a "google earth" of his very own.
The circles were like zooming in. So fun!
I've talked A LOT this month about Farmgirl Paints, and it's for good reason. She's only open for another week and then won't be open again until January. If you've been considering picking up a cuff, don't wait! They're my FAVORITE to wear and one of my FAVORITE gifts to give as well.
And don't forget to use the code MOMFESSIONALS for 15% off your order!
She's also doing these awesome Christmas ornaments this year as well. They're so pretty and unique. I can't wait to hang it on the tree!
The cuff above came in this week and I immediately teared up. When I attended Ashleigh's memorial service, they played a video of a speech she gave while at MIT. In the video she said these words,
"...even when my aunt died and left 4 girls behind, and even in tragedies like the marathon and Nikita’s passing, my faith allows me to believe that God is STILL GOOD. And still in control. We just don’t always see everything He can."
If you have a few minutes, you can go HERE and watch the entire video. It's incredible.
Along with the Google Earth art, Luke also brought home this...
My favorite part is me, with my hand on my hip and my finger pointed saying, "boys!". hahaha
and then this DM on Instagram almost made me pee my pants :)
Dave sent me these pictures of Griffin yesterday morning and her goofy little grin and humid hair are my FAVORITE!
Next up, these tops are 25% off right now and would be great layered for Fall or with cuffed jeans this coming Spring. I have one on the way and I can't wait to get it.
And if you've been looking for a great twill jacket, this one is 40% off right now.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Anthropologie is doing an extra 30% off their sale items right now. Someone needs to take away my card :)
All of the items below are under $35!
Last up, I have another great book for y'all to check out.
Fifty Shades of They was a quick read for me this past week or so. Ed writes about the importance of being surrounded with the right "they" and through 50 short chapters and illustrations gives applicable advice on how to determine if you're surrounded by the right they, how to maintain those relationships and how to build the right they around you.
One of my favorite chapters was one on prayer...
"The right "they" will pray, and pray continually, because they want their relationship with God to grow and thrive. They will also continually pray for you, because they want our relationship with God to grow and thrive."
This past week I've had several members of my "they" let me know that they're praying for me and it just reiterated to me how blessed I am to have the "they" I have in my life.
If you want a copy of Ed's book for yourself, just leave a comment (any comment) and I'll pick a someone randomly to drop the book in the mail to.
Enjoy your weekend, friends! We're hunkering down for a wet weekend and I'm looking forward to lots of sweet time with my family. I hope y'all have something equally mellow and fun planned.
Happy Weekend!

ReplyDeleteLoved reading this post--as I love reading ALL of your posts! Mason in the dentist's chair--I'm still a little nervous when I go, so I will just think of him the next time, lol! And the picture Luke drew of you with your hand on your hip, I am still laughing!! Griffin as Rosie---brilliant! That book sounds wonderful--I am going to tell our church librarian about it. And--totally random--we are having a "week of Andrea's recipes" here at my house! So far we have had Taco Pie and Smoked Sausage Penne. Next up is Chicken Spaghetti. I have also made your enchiladas and pasta salad in the past, and have given out your recipe for Baked Potato Soup multiple times--it is like crack, LOL! When Atlanta experienced "Snowmageddon" and I was stuck at the hospital I work at for 3 days, I brought a big vat of it to share--I think I rose several notches in my bosses eyes for that, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteMelanie_KS here. I still swear that looks like Mason on that card. And the side by side of G and Rosie is so cute!
