Friday Favorites - Summer's starting edition!!!

Well, friends!  It's here!  SUMMER!!!
I gave my last two exams yesterday and made sure I graded them, did my report cards and tidied up my classroom before I left so I wouldn't have anything left hanging over my head.  AMEN!  I have a staff luncheon today, graduation tonight and then lots of graduation parties to stop by this weekend.

That brings me to my first Friday FAVORITE... The Class of 2015!

I had these kids in 7th, 8th and 9th grade and I LOVE getting so see how they've grown up and hear about their future plans.  And I love designing their announcements and senior pages for the year book.

So I'm fairly certain Senior pictures have changed just a little since I graduated :)

Speaking of graduation, several of you guys asked about the dress I wore to Luke's kindergarten graduation.

You can find the dress HERE and I have nothing buy positive things to say about it.  It has mixed reviews (several comments about it having a lot of fabric), but I ordered it in a petite length and I love the ruffle on the top.  The color is fabulous and the print is super fun.  The price is a teeny bit crazy, but the stars aligned for me and I had a coupon, they were running a sale AND I had a credit.  YAY!

If you're looking for a fun and special dress for your Spring and Summer occasions I highly recommend it.  In fact, I loved it so much I wore it yesterday as well for our middle school academic awards.

Here's me my FAVORITE first grader excited about summer starting!!

Luke went to ESS today and he'll come with me to the lunch tomorrow, and then next week it's going to be just me and him.  Mason and Griffin are going to finish May out at Miss Lisa's and Luke and I are going to get in some quality one-on-one time,  He's going to be my big helper with some projects around the house and appointments we have.  We can't wait!

So, another FAVORITE from the week is this awesome blouse
(Ignore the naked baby on the tub - hehehe - #griffinwashere)

Anthro shipping can be crazy for a single item, so if you're ordering the dress above you should just add this to your order as well :)

The colors are vibrant and fun and it's so light and airy.  It's going to be perfect for summer!

This week has been so so so busy and I whipped up some of my FAVORITE taco pie because I knew it would be an easy meal to throw in a container and head out the door with in the morning.  I added half an avocado and was good to go!

Griffin has been doing so well in her big girl bed, and Tuesday night when we went in her room to check on her we found her like this...

It was crazy because she's NEVER gotten out of her bed before.  Her bed is for sure her FAVORITE.  When we walked in we freaked out because we didn't see her at first, but she was out like a light - snoring up a storm.  We turned on the light, took a few pictures and even moved her back to her bed and she never even opened up her eyes.

One of my very FAVORITE Matilda Jane lines was a Spring collection from two years ago.  I fell in love with it and ordered a bunch of pieces on sale to keep for when Griffin was bigger and the time is NOW!  I am loving her in all of these sweet outfits.

Next, several people mentioned wanting to know the ABC Bible Verses that Luke's kindergarten class memorized this year (it was one of my FAVORITE parts of his graduation) and so here you go...

They're short and great for kids (and adults!) to easily commit to memory.

Last up, I posted the picture below on Instagram and got a HUGE response.  I promised to share the details and so here we go!  The frames are the Ribba series from IKEA and I printed the pictures from Scrapping Simply

The pictures are Instagram pictures that I saved and uploaded to the site and that was it.  The best part...  the prints only cost $2 each!  Every other print lab I looked at was $10+ for a single one so I was over the moon excited when these came in and the quality was as great as it was.  I can't wait get these hung up in Griffin's big girl room!

Monday is one of my FAVORITE days of the month... it's Erika and my Favorite Things party and we're going to be sharing about our favorite hair products.  We'd love for you to take a few pictures this weekend and get ready to link up and share with us as well.

Sorry if this has been scattered - mama is T.I.R.E.D. and ready for a weekend full of my kids, some Memorial Day fun and NO GRADING!!! WOO HOO!!!

Happy Friday, friends!

    1. Thank you! And about the weather - I was kind of hoping for pool weather right away - but I have TONS of home/organizational projects to work on and I think the gloomy weather will force me to get a bunch of those done. :)

  11. Love your graphics! I always wanted to know, do you create all the graphics, such as flowers, frames, etc., yourself or do you get them from another source? Have a great long weekend!

  13. Love those announcements and cards!! So neat that they asked you to do that! Also thanks for sharing about that photo site. I do digital scrapbooking and have been wanting to print some individual pages for my son's room. So great about Luke graduating!! My son will be starting Kindergarten in the fall (at just barely 5) and I''m so nervous about it. He went through a 2 day a week prek so he is ready but I worry about the social aspects a lot. I was also curious if you do any scrapbooking for your kids and if you do, could you share it?

    1. I used to do a TON, but haven't done any in a long long long time. I may try to catch up a bit this summer. I think this weekend I'll try to add a "Scrapbooking" button on my sidebar and link back to posts where I shared. :)

  21. Oh my goodness, Griffin's comforter - I need it. Seriously, we're getting new bedding and I love the ruffles. Where did it come from!? And where do you find all your cute accessories for designing? I am a graphic designer and hand-draw everything (both for my day job and the company I own - my "side hustle," haha), but I love the frames and flowers/buttons you always have...and anything that can save me some time during my busy season would be so.stinking.awesome.

  22. Ha! I love the picture of Griffin sleeping on the floor.

I always find our daughter sleeping in the oddest places. Many nights she gets into her rocking chair to sleep. She brings her pillow, sheet and comforter with her. Of course. :)

    1. So funny!!! Apparently growing up I liked to sleep in small spaces and often my parents would find me and all of my blankets in my closet :)

  23. Griffin is so such a cutie pie, I love her chubby cheeks. I love her toddler bed too, I’d want something like that for me!

And I can’t believe she wears headbands, Sophie refuses to even wear anything in her hair.
