Today's post is a random jumbling of "Life Lately". Lots of fun happening that I don't want to overlook!
On Saturday, Luke wore his headband and carried his swords to his playdate with Lincoln (the third one of the THREE he had that day!) and unfortunately, he left his ninja gear there. Fortunately, Lincoln's oldest sister is in one of my classes and she returned the gear and Luke's ninja status was restored. We were both sporting cool headbands, and the occasion called for a selfie :)
Taking pics with Luke is no easy feat, though...but sometimes the outtakes are my favorites :)
I mean... what was I doing??? hahaha
Monday night I had to run by a friends house and I made a quick pit stop to ruin my dinner. Weird thing.... McDonalds plain ice cream cones are my FAVORITE ice cream. If you haven't tried one you need to! If they have the chocolate/vanilla swirl where you live.... well.... I hate you. Because I would move back to Canada JUST for the swirl cones. :)
Tuesday afternoon I ran home after lunch to put soup in my crock pot since girls were coming over that night and brought Jack Bauer back to school with me to hang out. My co-workers and I were getting into some trouble on the baseball field (more on that tomorrow) and Jack Bauer had the best time running around like an absolute fool.
Homeboy is small, but he can MOTOR!!!
So vicious :)
Luke got to hold Jack Bauer from school to Miss Lisa's house and when Mason got in the car his face was PRICELESS!!! Jack Bauer is his BESTIE and he was more than a little excited to have him on his lap in the car.
"OMG, MOM!!! Look how cute I am?!?!?!" hahahaha
Dave took the kids to McDonalds Tuesday night for dinner while I had girls over and when it got dark sooner than he anticipated, they headed to the country club to hang out instead :)
He texted me these pics and I am IN LOVE!
When they all got home, Mason and I snuggled in my Diana wrap :) Gotta love a wrap big enough for two! hahahaha
My Wednesday "Happy Morning" pictures from Dave were extra sweet...
... and yes he's holding a pair of underwear. Apparently, as Dave was getting him into the car, Mason announced that he had decided not to put on undies. So Dave ran inside, snagged a pair and he put them on at Miss Lisa's house. Sigh. Mason.
Yesterday was the best morning. Luke had his first field trip when all of Kindergarten headed to the Dallas Children's Theater to see a production of SkippyJon Jones.
My "group" was Luke and Libby and they were the SWEETEST!!!
This picture CRACKS me up!!! Libby talked Luke's ear off (with A LOT of enthusiasm) and this kind of sums it up...
I just about died when they grabbed hands to walk into the theater :)
1) Luke's belt
2) The hand holding
3) Her pose
4) I die
Waiting for SkippyJon to start!
I can't even!!!
On the way home we discussed unicorns, our favorite foods, birthday party themes, dogs and it was decided that at recess that afternoon they would play superheroes and Libby would be Glitter, Zoe would be rainbow and Luke would be hot lava. :) I LOOOOOOOOVE Kindergarten!!!
And just when I thought the cuteness was done :)
And we rounded off the day with some hugs from an older girl :) Our Anna Grace was coming in from soccer practice and Luke was able to snag a hug. It was a good day for Luke McAnally!
Neither one of my boys has ever really been a "climber".... but Griffin is putting my nerves to the test.
Pretty sure she was copying the face I made when I found her standing on the bench. And yes.... I was "that mom" who took her picture before getting her down. hahaha
And remember those hints I was dropping on Mondays post???
They worked :)
So... that's some life lately! Nothing major - but fabulous nonetheless!
Hope y'all have a FANTASTIC day! See you tomorrow for Friday Favorites!!!
lol at Griffin's expression when you found her standing on that bench!!! Too funny!!
ReplyDeleteShe makes the best faces :) Highly dramatic (wonder who she gets that from.... hahahaha)
DeleteSo much amazingness in this post Andrea! G's pink bow, mason holding jack bauer AND his under pants haha, and Luke is so smooth! What a hilarious and adorable bunch of kiddos you have!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, girl!!! I stinkin' love that pink bow!!! :)
DeleteAndrea, I'm new to following your blog! (I found you through Shays) I must say, I feel like we could be best friends. :) Your kids are the absolute sweetest things- I love seeing your daily IG posts.
ReplyDeleteDid you live in Canada at one point? If so, where? (I'm from Ontario)
Happy Thursday to you and your crew! :)
We could TOTALLY be best friends :) I'm from Ontario as well! I was born in North York, but lived in London as well (and a couple other provinces) before moving to the States in 1991
Delete3 things: 1. I love that you did a Life Lately today too 2. That must mean we need a cute graphic (I'm talking to you...we all know I can't make graphics!) 3. This is why we're soul sisters :) XO
ReplyDeleteWe totally need a little graphic!!! This cracks me up because Dave always teases me when I say stuff like "we really need to get out in the yard" because what I really mean is HE Needs to get out in the yard :) hahaha And yes..... soul sisters!!!
DeleteHOLD UP. Somebody talked LUKE'S ear off? How does that work?!? :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics as always!!!!
Girl.... I'll have to call you.... but Libby gave him a run for his MONEY!!!! It was awesome. :) There would be a moment of quiet and she would literally say, "Let's name restaurants!!!" or "lets talk about colors!" it was awesome :)
DeleteI love McD ice cream cones!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I'm not alone in my love for ice cream from the golden arches :)
DeleteThose hand holding pics are so sweet!!!! And girl we love mcdonalds ice cream. I mean I can take my whole family there for ice cream for like $8!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAMEN!!! Love it!
DeleteMy hometown McDonalds served soft chocolate when I was growing up...the best! Closest I've found is Jasons Deli.
ReplyDeleteI always find Jasons Deli to be "grainy" and not nearly as smooth and creamy as McDonalds... but maybe it's just my local Jasons?!?!?!
DeleteI'd agree with that assessment! I just don't like vanilla so I'm out of luck and that's the closest I've found.
DeleteThe picture of Luke with his belt undone and Libby posing made me LOL. That is a keeper- a must wedding and graduation!!
ReplyDelete:) hahaha TOTALLY!
DeleteI just loved this post!! Mason cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And he cracks me up too :)
DeleteLove that expression!! so cute! and I LOVE kindergarten too.....they are just too sweet!
ReplyDeleteKindergarten is great because they're still really really cute :)
DeleteHands down McDonalds has the BEST ice cream ever! And I busted out laughing about Mason and the underwear!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Mason does his own thing in most areas of life, so I'm really not surprised that he's dubbed undies as non-essentials :)
DeleteLOVE McDonald's ice cream and hate away cause by me we have the twist and I love, love it!!!! Sweetest pictures today, I love Mason holding Jack Bauer, Luke and his little "girlfriend" were the cutest and little Miss G is always stylin and oh so very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteMason!! He's so so so so funny! I loved his snuggling with Jack Bauer and couldn't stop giggling at his announcement of no undies. He's a hoot! :)
ReplyDeleteI have completely enjoyed my tulips on my desk at work this week! Thanks for the heads up on Monday's post! Oh, and Posado's has the chocolate/vanilla swirl soft-serve ice cream. I would know because we not only ate there last night, but we probably eat there way more than I should admit. Lol!
ReplyDeleteFun pictures and post! I love Griffin's expressions! What an absolute doll!!
ReplyDeleteMy 16 month old daughter is a climber too...going to be the death of me...seriously!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Mason with the underwear is classic! Reminds me of my boys! And those pics of Luke holding hands with the little girl! Priceless! Reminds me of when my 10-year-old liked a little girl in kindergarten so much that he told all the other boys they couldn't play with her! Needless to say, Dad had to have a man to man talk with him! Your littles take me back to some great memories of my own!
ReplyDeleteLove your kids' pictures--they always make me smile! And Jack Bauer is just the cutest little pup :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, so this has nothing to do with todays post but my hair is about the length yours was before you got it cut! I love it long and think it's easier that way and I ALWAYS regret it when I cut it but I want a change. With the length of yours now, do you find it hard to take care of or can you still pull it back when it's on your nerves? :) It looks so cute on you and it really makes me want to chop mine off for a new, fresh start but I'm scared! ha
ReplyDeleteLove their school uniforms! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteMcDonald's ice cream cones are seriously the best! Plus, they're like 98 cents or something! How can you beat that?!
ReplyDelete1. LOVEEEEE your haircut and you now look 16...maybe! :)) 2. You need a number 5. on the Libby and Luke pictures...his dimple! 3. My day is complete...I've seen pictures of Gwippen!!! Truly adorable family and your posts ALWAYS bring a smile to my face!!
ReplyDeletePatty from Kingwood
Vancouver girl here telling you we don't have the twist cones either and haven't for YEARS! I totally share your disappointment.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, girl! Your family is precious.
McD's ice cream and stale cone= perfection!
