Today I'm sharing just a little "this and that".
- These lucky ducks -
Congratulations to Katie Field (katiegorgon2 email address) and Kim Kauffman (ekakauffman email address) for winning the Two Little Bees Boutique $25 gift cards!!! I can't wait to see what y'all pick!!! Shoot me an email and I'll get you your prizes!!!
- This girl -
This girl gets cuter every. single. day.
Like at Sam's Club...
And in the car after Sam's Club :)
and while drinking a yogurt smoothie like a serious toddler. I mean.
And running down the sidewalk :)
- This Top -
Y'all. I'm in love. With a shirt. And I'm not ashamed.
This is the West End Top from Anthropologie - it's no longer available in this rust color, but there's still a GORGEOUS mint color that every single one of you need ASAP. And it's $30! GO! GO! GO!
- That Headwrap -
Griffin has several headwraps from Ruby Blue and I recently got us a matching leopard set. My dirty hair has never looked better. Y'all will be seeing lots of this :)

- This polish -
Essie's Mojito Madness is my current favorite. Ignore the 5 day old polish job and old lady hands :).JPG)
So fun, right?
- That Sale! -
I talk about Matilda Jane A LOT and if you typically tune me out - tune in this one time :)
You read that right, people!!! EVERYTHING. EVERY. THING. is 35% off. And free shipping. AND if you spend $150 you get a free hobo bag! If a hobo bag isn't your thing - it would make a great library bag, pool bag or even a great mother-in-law gift :)
Go online to the MJ site, browse the collections, and as you find things you want - add them to your wishlist. When your wishlist is complete, please email it to me (dave-and-andrea@hotmail.com) as well as my Trunk Keeper (katkempson@matildajaneclothing.com). Get your lists in by Saturday at noon so we can make sure everyone gets everything they want before sellouts happen. Also... items that were previously only available to Janes are now available to everyone (and on sale!) so add those to your wishlists as well.
- This Post -
In case you've missed it on Facebook - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go read THIS post by Jessica Turner at The Mom Creative. I would be lying if I said I didn't cry when I read it. Bathing suit season is not my favorite season but - truth be told - it's not about me. :) I'm taking Jessica's words to heart this year.
I refuse to miss my children’s high-pitched, pool-induced giggles because of my insecurities.
I refuse to let other women’s judging eyes at the pool prevent me from exposing their eyes to the wonder the sun glittering on the water.
I refuse to let my self-image influence my children’s.
I refuse to sacrifice memories with my children because of a soft tummy.
Because at the end of the day, it is not about me.
It is about my kids.
On that note, I'm off to spend the morning with my kiddos and besties at the pool :)
Happy Friday, friends!!!
I loved everything about this post. Everything. Can't wait to see you this morning friend!!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThanks, girly! :)
DeleteI loved that article too, but it made me sad. I didn't even realize there were women who did that. Maybe because I live in Florida, but here, with the exception of maybe a super crowded bday party, the moms are always in bathing suits and in the water with kids. I didn't even know it was a *thing* not to do that. And I can't imagine not getting into the pool with my kids. I've worn everything from a large ranking nursing a 4 month old to a bikini to a one piece with ruching and "spanx" type built ins. Just put the suit on ladies and enjoy your kids!
ReplyDeleteAMEN! And is there anything worse than nursing at the pool??? hahaha All three of my kiddos have been about 6 weeks when pool season started and I don't miss those hot, sweaty, nursing sessions at all :)
DeleteYup griffin....cuter by the day..,and the bathing suit stuff.....I rexetunread something similar on FB and i stepped said and yikes I'm that mom who doesn't put on a bathing suit and I sit from the lounge chair watching my kiddos,..and I vowed last week that I wasn't going to miss out on making memories wih them because I was too self conscious to put on a bathing suit... So off to target I went, grabbed a swimsuit ....ready to get my hair wet with my kiddos!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad my spell check was in full screw up almost every word I type mode in my comment before. Yikes!! Anyway.., the green polish.... So so fab!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo funny!!! I figured out what you were trying to say - and I'm sure you look GORG in your suit :)
DeleteThat Anthro top is FAB. And it looks soooooo good on you. And G with her headband? Precious!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love a ruffle :) Thanks, friend!!!
DeleteSuch a good deal on Matilda Jane!! Yay!!! Love that Anthro top!!
ReplyDeleteI must have the leopard print head wrap. Wish I had bought it before I left for vacation to take with me.
ReplyDeleteI saw that article about bathing suit season as well....such a great reminder of what is most important! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love those head wraps, and yes, we should all enjoy the pool! I love taking my girls!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that headwrap!!
ReplyDeleteFun post! And G's headwrap's serve double duty....cute accessory while awake, and a pretty night mask while sleeping. :)
ReplyDeleteI just now found your blog, and you have got to be the cutest mom I have ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteGirl friend that's why I wear a rash guard and boardshorts! I'm thankful I don't have to wear a bikini!
ReplyDeleteThat green nail polish is perfection!!
ReplyDeleteI seriously laughed out loud over the headband over sweet G's face in the car. I remember those days alllll too well.
I love Mason in the background with his basketball and tennis racket! What is your trick for getting polish to look good for so many days??
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet Griffin!!
ReplyDeleteAfter your red shirt here and your swimsuit photo on IG, I am realizing I need more ruffles in my life! :)

ReplyDeleteEeek! I'm so excited! Thanks so much. I sent you an emailI hope to the right address or someone's going to think I'm absolutely crazy!
ReplyDeleteI loved getting in the pool with my kids when they were little! And I still do they are teens. I go down the slides and everything. They enjoy seeing their parents laugh and be silly like them even now that they are a little older. Love your bun with the leopard print!
ReplyDeleteI also have mojito madness! It looks good on toes too. I read the swimsuit article this week when I saw it circulating Facebook. I thought it was a fantastic reminder of what truly matters.
ReplyDeleteIf there is a Griffin fan club...I want to be a member!!! She is soooooooooooo cute!!! I love the way your hair looks in the leopard wrap!! Griffin looks like her mama!!!
ReplyDeletePatty from TX
I am seriously getting baby fever looking at all these photos for G! I need a little girl!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that green polish!
Is your head wrap the regular size or pint size? Oh how I love some dead animal print.
ReplyDeleteHey, Cathy! I can't tell whether you're being serious or "snarky" but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt :) It's the regular.
