Wednesday, April 24th

Wednesday was a BUSY day for Griffin and I.  We dropped Luke off at school and then made a pit stop at Starbucks to see our favorite baristas!

After our caffeine fix we headed over to Aimee Louise Photography's studio to have Griffin's newborn photos taken.  Aimee is a mom of one of my students who GRACIOUSLY offered to do newborn photos for us.  Griffin did a fantastic job and it was fun to get to see Aimee and her assistant work in the studio...

Aimee told me to bring anything of "sentimental value" that I wanted Griffin's picture taken with and I immediately thought of this GORGEOUS bedspread that my Oma (mom's mom) crocheted for me...

OMG! Over the top GIRLY!!! :)
I can't wait to see the finished pictures... CAN NOT WAIT!

The newborn session took over 4 hours and by the time we got home we were both wiped.  Griffin slept like a ROCK all afternoon and we packed up after her 2:00 feeding to pick up Luke from school and Mason from Miss Lisa's house.  This was my first time to pick both boys up with Griffin in tow and we survived!  We celebrated with some bubble time when we got home :)

Mason's strep throat has taken a toll on his poor little body and he has THE WORST COUGH EVER!  I gave him a dose of a prescription cough medicine that he was given and the boy was OUT!  He could barely keep his eyes open at dinner and was in bed, sound asleep by 6:30.

Speaking of out, Griffin Joy was out like a light as well.... but courtesy of milk, not cough medicine.

The sweet Slaughter family brought us dinner and Luke was SUPER SUPER excited about the special cookies :)

  1. How wonderful that someone offered to do a newborn shoot for you! I am sure the photos will be gorgeous! The crocheted bedspread is beautiful--I just learned how to crochet and can't imagine how much intricate work your Oma put into that--so special.
    Have a great night, Andrea!
