Mason/Mommy Day

Last Wednesday our babysitter was sick and Dave had tons of stuff going on at work, so I emailed in some lesson plans and took the day off.  It was soooooooooooo nice!  Rarely, if ever, am I home with just one of the boys while no one is throwing up or coughing or super needy :)  Mason and I decided to make the most of our day and after cleaning up and having breakfast we headed out to the mall!

We had lots of errands to run at the mall... returns, exchanges, etc. and Mason was a super patient (and cute!) little shopper.  Lamby came along for the ride (of course!) and Mason and I had the best time!

In between our "tasks at hand" we HAD to stop in to the GAP to just check it out and much to my excitement they had TONS of socks on sale.  I LOVE me some GAP socks... especially when they're $0.47.  I bought every pair that they had (after taking this pic I found 5 more pairs in my other bag... awesome!)

"Raise your hand if you love spending the day with Mommy!!!"
"MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Mason took a FABULOUS nap and I Was able to catch up on lots of Slightly Askew projects.

I had to wake him up at 4:00 and we both donned our aviators and headed out to pick up Luke from ESS (after school care).... but not before a quick run through Sonic :)

After checking in on my classroom, making a few copies and saying hi to some co-workers Mason and I headed down to the playground to get Luke.  The boys played together for a while and then it was time to pack it up and meet Daddy so we could drive to Aubrey and pick up a baby swing I bought off of Craigslist.
It was soooooooooooooo nice to have a one-on-one day with Mason (I've done it before with Luke, but not with the Masonator) and I think that I may make a point of taking a few days next school year to spend with each of the boys.  It was an unexpected, but much-needed day with my sweet! :)
