My Joys

Sheaffer inspired me to do this post and while at first I had no clue what to post, I decided to keep a little list throughout the day of some of my absolute favorite things and by the end of the day I had to edit it down!
First on my list are Sid Dickens tiles. I've been collecting these for about three years and although they're expensive, they're super fun to collect and look great on the wall (I have 8 in a display) or alone in a stand (I have a few scattered around my house as well). TOMS! I can't say enough about my TOMS! They're super comfy and cute and the best part is that when you buy a pair they donate a pair to a child in a developing country. I have the pair below which I wear a lot and then the silver sparkly pair for when I need something a little dressier :) hahaha
I get compliments ALL THE TIME on my Waxing Poetic Jewelry so I thought I'd share that as well. I have three of the round insignia charms that I wear on one of their chains and I think I wear it probably 99% of the time. They're cast from old wax stamps and look cute alone or in a group.

I share my love of Dreft stain remover with almost everyone I meet - IT'S THAT GOOD! Luke is kind of a mess and I am yet to find anything that this can't get out. Ketchup, strawberries, juice, etc., etc., etc. GO BUY SOME NOW! (it's the cheapest at Target - around $3 a bottle)
This is the best and only lotion that I've had any success with as far as Luke's eczema is concerned. I've bought the super expensive cream, medicated stuff and this is the only thing that clears it up.
I blogged a long time ago about my frustration waking up EVERY DAY to a soaked crib - but after trying almost ALL the brands discovered the Huggies Overnites and haven't turned back!
I love Bath And Bodyworks, but HATE paying $10 for lotion... which I used to do until I came across the Suave lotion. It's a HUGE bottle, smells great (I use the juicy tangerine kind) and costs about $2 at WalMart. Plus, you can't beat the pump!
I am a HUGE hot-tea drinker and even though I have a full set of cute mugs that match my dinnerware, after my mom bought me one of these monogrammed mugs from Anthropologie, I don't think that my set of mugs has left the cupboard shelf. They're super sturdy (you can set it on the couch!) and adorable and make a great gift.
Since it's about a bazillion degrees outside right now, I rarely leave my house without an icy drink. My Sonic habit was getting expensive, so I invested in a Starbucks insulated cup and it's my new best friend.

What's in my insulated cup most of the time is some peach tea from Kroger. It's cheap, calorie-free and DELICIOUS!
Hope you enjoyed my list of favorite things and that you'll go and try some of them out and love them as much as I do!

  1. Seriously, the Dreft, Toms and mug have changed my life. Wait? Maybe I'm trying to be just like you? Maybe I'm going to turn my entire life into yours? Maybe this is just the beginning of me doing everything exactly how you do it? FYI: If I start becoming just like you, I know someone else who will too :).

  2. It was so good to see you all on Sunday! Guess what? When we got home, we were OUT of the Dreft spray! I squeezed and squeezed and nothing came out - even added water to the bottle in quiet (okay, not so quiet) desperation because I just knew those strawberries were going to win this time...but my sweet husband bought more and all is well. See you soon!
