Friday Favorites - Happy FALL!

Happy Friday, friends!

Erika, Narci and I are back sharing our FAVORITES today and we'd love for you to join in!  Link back to one (or all!) of us and add your link at the bottom of this post!

The top of my FAVORITES list this week is this picture that I snapped on Monday night while we were at dinner with Dave's family.  Dave's grandmothers are 96 and 95 and incredibly lovely women.  We are so grateful that our kids get to spend time with them on a pretty regular basis.

I mean... can you even?!?!

These long legs are my FAVORITE!  I always feel like this is the age when the kids just shoot up in height!

Here are a few of my FAVORITE pieces of art from this week...

The "Oh No" in the speech bubble is by far the best part :)

Griffin's cake with candles...

... and a superhero doodle by Mason :)

A late afternoon crash session is our FAVORITE...

... and when the mystery reader is our friends mom who also happens to be Mrs. International and she lets all the girls try on her crown?!?! FAVORITE!!!

Griffin's teacher sent me this picture and I about died laughing because it looks like she's trying to be super still.. "maybe no one will notice this crown and I can keep it if I just stand really really still"

It's no secret that mustard is my FAVORITE color and on Sunday G and I coordinated for church in the hopes that we could coax a little Fall weather out :)

We didn't succeed, but we sure did look festive! :)

Sunday morning we were sitting in the balcony at church and Mason spotted one of his FAVORITE people home from college and so he ran down to see him.  Can you spy our little guy?

Watching Mason play has been a FAVORITE this week as well...

... as has looking through our Chatbooks :)

This dress (under $40!) is a Fall favorite.  Great with an extender and bare legs for now, tights as the weather cools down, and leggings/cardi/uggs after that.

This tunic is 30% off right now (yes ma'am!) and would be great as a dress with a black extender, with skinny jeans or with tights as the weather cools off.  The embroidery is so pretty and it has really fun bell sleeves which I love.

Next up is my  new FAVORITE mascara.  I had read that this mascara was a dupe for a much more expensive Marc Jacobs product and I picked it up at Ulta this week because my old mascara was about to bite the dust.

I was hesitant to post this pic because it's not super flattering BUT that's one coat of mascara on my right lashes.  ONE.  Impressive, right?  You can check it out on Amazon  HERE.

Yesterday was picture day and I wanted to get a picture of all three kids looking extra sharp before heading in to school and instead I got this...

... still my FAVORITE ;)

So Mason has had a loose tooth for several weeks now and he has been wishing and praying that it would fall out before picture day.  We wiggled it several times yesterday morning and then again right before pictures (my room is next to the library where they were taking the pics and so they all lined up right outside my door) and still no luck.  Later in the afternoon a toothless little guy showed up in my room and he couldn't stop smiling!!!

His teacher helped him clean the remains of lunch off his face and took him back to the library to have his picture remade sans tooth :)

My FAVORITE moment of the week!  I can't wait to see his proud little pic!

And another mom who had been at lunch earlier that day snapped this picture of one of Mason's friends trying to get his tooth out.  LOOK AT THEIR LITTLE HANDS!!!

Last but not least... if you're in the mood for a little pumpkin treat that not's overwhelmingly pumpkin-y these are my new FAVORITE!!!

Happy Friday and HAPPY FALL, y'all!!!  I'm hoping to finish up my Halloween/Fall decorating this weekend with my AC turned WAY down while the kids swim... a true Texas Fall!

  1. Do you listen to the Big Boo Cast? They were talking about that mascara on there. I just got a kind I dislike, now it is a battle to ditch and try something else or keep using it because I hate to leave something unfinished ;). I am going to try this one next though. xoxo ERIN

  6. Andrea, Your Friday Favorites are always one of my FF. Those sweet little guys holding hands❤️. I love the innocence at that age and sweet hearts! I love my Loreal mascara (the double ended tubes...slips right off in the shower but stays on all day.) You've probably got a friend who sells Rodan + Fields, but just in case...You'd love the Lash Boost. I'm not saying you need it...I'm just saying you'd LOVE it😉 (I'm a consultant in cases you don't know someone🤗) I LOVE what it's done for my lashes! I'm definitely going to need to make a trip to Trader Joe's and try those biscotti. I like a little dunkable treat with a cup of coffee in the afternoon. I always buy their Ginger Snaps this time of year. They are the BEST! Happy Fall!!!

  11. How is that mascara based on others you've recommended here on the blog? I've tried the others and will probably grab this one too. :)
