Simplified Planner

It's no secret I'm a busy lady.  I've always used a cheap academic planner from Target, but this year I splurged on a Simplified Planner from Emily Ley.  My thought process is that I really need to be better about keeping up with a planner and that if I spent a little bit more on it I'd be more likely to make myself use it.  So far so good... I've been using it daily and am LOVING it!
The front cover has a sweet little pocket.  I've been using it to hold invitations, reminders, etc.

It has a month view (which is a MUST HAVE for me!)

... and then each day has it's own page.

Since I'm at school all day, I don't necessarily use the time part... but I still use that section to jot notes, memories, to-dos, etc.

I use the notes section to plan out what I"m going to be blogging about and there's a specific section for dinner which is awesome.  I typically meal plan a week in advance and love knowing what's on the menu for the week.

TABS!!!!!  I love tabs!  They're thick and colorful and glorious.

On Sundays there's a little weekly prep section as well as a section specifically for writing a memory you don't want to forget.  LOVE!

At the beginning of the book there's a year at a glance as well as a page for Go-To-Dinner Ideas.  I just started this the other day, but I love the idea of writing down our go-to-list so when I'm meal planning I can refer back to it for favorite ideas.

I haven't filled in these pages yet, but I love the idea of being intentional about writing down specific memories I want to make and then crossing them off.  Because does anything feel better than crossing something off of a to-do-list???

This quote is on the inside of the back cover and I need to have this blown up, embroidered on a pillow and then written by a sky writer above my house daily :)

Since I know you'll ask... I'm a total pen snob and only use the Stabilo pens in my planner.  They're probably cheaper than you think and you can find them here

Be sure to check back tomorrow.... Erika and I are sharing our FAVORITE THINGS under $10!

  2. Andrea! I have no words. Seriously. None. Your planner. Perfection. I need you to come over and fill in my planner on a daily basis for me. Yours is awesome. So jealous. And a little angry. I love you anyway. Even though your planner is super perfect. :)

  13. Andrea- I have not used a Simplified Planner before but LOVE Emily's stuff...I have several of her notepads, a deskpad, and one of the Oatmeal Lace clutches she sells. Gorgeous stuff! I actually have the "grace not perfection" print from her shop framed and on my bedroom dresser so I can see it every night before bed and first thing in the morning. :) Love your planner- your handwriting is awesome!

  17. I love this. I'm debating on getting this planner or the day planner by Whitney English. They are so similar but I just don't know.
