Harvest Party 2011

Our Sunday School class has a "Harvest Party" every Fall and this past Saturday was the day! I can remember going to the very first Harvest Party armed with only my crock pot and a cute outfit and getting to enjoy an evening of talking, hanging out and eating s'mores. Fast forward four years and I get to bring these two guys to the party with me...

My little guys went as a pirate, complete with mustache and eye patch:

And a robot/alien:

We didn't get any direct looks into the camera or smiles, but they still looked super cute:

We took about 15 family pictures and, trust me, this was the best one. (This is why we are seeking professional help for our attempt at a half-decent Christmas card photo)

:)

Karla and Justin hosted the party at their house and it was PERFECT!

Shay, this next picture absolutely CRACKS ME UP! :)

Olivia doing some sweet super girl moves :)
We forgot Luke's do-rag for the pictures at home, but he was sportin' it at the party :)

Luke found a recorder and decided it would be a good idea to play it.

His Uncle Jonathan would be proud :)

Owen and Molly riding cars...
Dave and Mason :) Sarah - could she BE ANY CUTER?!?!?!

Luke can find a mess ANYWHERE we go :)

Random side note: if you've been aware of our troubles with CRAZY BAD eczema, check out my sweet guys clear legs!!! YAY! FINALLY!

Attempt at a group picture, I don't think Grayson was super fond of Mason :)
I stole this next picture off of the BFG Facebook page - how crazy is that?!?!?! I think we need to have more kids, right???? :)

In case you're curious, here's a link to my post about last year's party and the year before that.

Thanks, Dad!

A few weeks back we rearranged out patio furniture and I had a thought... if we moved the grill elsewhere we'd have this great wall that would be perfect for a potting table. I had seen one on Thrifty Decor Chick and thought hers was great, so I asked my dad to make me one. Isn't it awesome?!?!?! I have hooks that I'm going to hang on the right side for gardening gloves and stuff as well.

Love. Love. Love! Thanks, Dad!!! :)

Camp Cohen

On Saturday night we went to Cohen's second birthday party at Erwin Park. It was a camping theme and the kids had a TON of fun. There was sidewalk chalk... ... and party hats :)
There were sweet friends...

... and wagon rides.

Ebby Lee had fun stacking the hats (and apparently concentrating so hard she had to use her tongue)...
... and Luke had fun exploring the tent they had set up.

There was great food...
... and there was some crazy party hat head.
There were some sweet, sweet smiles...
... and this little guy, too.
There were the cutest cupcakes EVER!

And there was a very, very messy face :)

Thanks for inviting us to your super cute party, Cohen!!!

P.S. - Dear Erika, I think that the below pictures are proof that you need to have #3 ASAP! :)
OMG - Sweetest. Picture. Ever.

Gibi Pumpkin

I picked up a variety of pumpkins this week and when I brought them all inside Luke immediately picked up this little, bumpy orange one and said - "This is Gibi Pumpkin, because I love it and it's wrinkly". hahahaha

He and Gibi pumpkin have been inseparable ever since. Gibi Pumpkin has her own house that he built for her...
... and I've found Gibi pumpkin in lots of interesting places (including the fridge, bathtub and under the sheets of my made bed)
Gibi pumpkin "waits for Luke" on our front windowsill when he goes to Miss Lisa's house in the morning and goes outside with him when we play in the evenings... The other pumpkins got named as well...

There were even little pumpkins for Scooter and "Kimon" (Kimon is his name for my parents dog Simon - who hasn't been around since August - Luke just assumes he's in their backyard I guess. hahaha)
