I'm extra excited because I always have lots of fun pictures on my phone that never seem to make it onto my computer for blogging purposes. Like tho one of Luke Man hanging out by the road work that was done on our corner...

Noah Field - First Game

I'm posting this from my phone so it's going to be short and sweet and I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves. Monday night MCA had the very first baseball game on our new Noah Field. It was really special to get to go and be a part of such a momentous occasion for the school and the Pell Family.

Luke's attention span was pretty short so after we ate we ended up playing on the playground.

This little girl was sooooooooooo sweet :) She saw that Luke was kind of scared and she offered to slide down with him so he wouldn't have to be scared sliding alone. It was seriously adorable!

This is one of my students, Hope. He just grabbed her hand and started walking with her! :)

"Helping" Grandpa :)

Luke's FAVORITE place to be is outside. It doesn't matter whether it's the front yard, back yard, park or garage... he just wants to be outside. So on Saturday morning (after playing with his box house. haha) we headed outside to "help" Grandpa assemble our new patio furniture...
I love how Luke and Grandpa have almost the same look on their faces :)

Workin'

Even Cadence wanted to help:
Luke found Cadence's ball and was apparently pretty excited about it:
Hanging out under the playset... this picture cracks me up because this is the face he makes every time Cadence comes around :)
This last one is a little out of focus, but I love it because he was yelling at Cadence to get the ball and he got super expressive with his arms:)

Luke's House

As I was cleaning up the weeks "clutter" that seems to accumulate by Saturday (I know, I know... pick it up every day and then you wouldn't have a week's worth of clutter... but sometimes that just doesn't work for me!) and I was about to throw away this box that got delivered when........ .... I was inspired to make Luke's house :)

It was a good thing I did since it is now his favorite toy EVER!

In a moment of creative genius I even drew our family portrait on one of the inside walls... please don't be jealous of my amazing drawing skills :)

On the other wall is the alphabet and the numbers 1 - 9... which was a brilliant idea, since now I can say to Luke, "Hey, Luke-man, why don't you go in your house and find the letter H" and he'll run over there, crawl inside and start pounding on the box and yelling H (or making the H sound, whichever suits his fancy at the moment)

As if Luke's house wasn't fun enough, we went for the diaper box robot as well!
H also thought this was great fun... ...until we had to take it off and he didn't want to bend his arms :)

Watering Can

I just planted all of my spring flowers and since they're going to require some hand watering, I bought Luke his very own watering can so he could "help" me. :) He LOVES watering our flowers, but as of now, he's getting more water on himself than on the plants! ha! We're working on pouring slowly, but he still wants to hold it high above his head and pour fast so that not only does it come out of the spout, but it pours out of the top (and normally right down the front of his shirt) as well.

Hide & Seek

Luke's new favorite game to play is hide & seek and so far the best hiding spot he's found is in the "laundry closet" in our master bathroom. He crawls in through the bottom door and then peeks his little head out through the top when he's ready to be found :) Other favorite hiding spots include the very back of our master closet with the lights off and cuddled up in the bottom of the floor-length curtains in our master bedroom :)

Here To Stay

Well, people... I don't know about you, but I, for one, hope that Spring is officially here to stay!
Winter has been long and crazy and I was starting to feel a little trapped by all the wind, rain and random snowstorms.
The last few days we've been taking advantage of the nice weather, getting our hands dirty planting flats of flowers around our yard and taking lots of walks.
Last night we headed to MCAs first softball game (their season started a few weeks ago, but EVERY game has been cancelled due to weather!) at Craig Ranch where Luke got a bad case of the wiggles. Due to the wiggles, he and I spent a good portion of our time doing this...
... and then more of this :)
We tried to stop for a picture, and as you can see our soon-to-be-to-year-old was none to happy about stopping.
YAY Mustangs! The game was actually mercifully stopped in the 5th inning when the score as 15-0. Despite the loss, the girls were all in good spirits :)
Luke enjoyed walking to and from the game more than he enjoyed the game itself!
What he didn't enjoy was when Daddy had to pick him up due to his refusal to hold one of our hands in the parking lot. SIGH.
We loaded up in the car and headed to Olive Garden with Dave's parents, his brother and his brothers new non-girlfriend girlfriend. Luke CHOWED DOWN on bread sticks, but the best part was when we were pouring out his cup at the end of dinner and discovered a crayon at the bottom! Little stinker must have stuck it in through the straw hole when we weren't looking.
Since we weren't very full from dinner (ha!) we headed over to Free Cone Night at Ben and Jerry's. It was PACKED and they had tables set up in the parking lot! We met up there with Dave's brother Stephen and his non-girlfriend girlfriend :) and also ran into the MCA softball team. So much fun!
Dear Spring, If you could please hang around for a LONG time that would be awesome. In fact, why don't you just go ahead and tell summer that he can have the season off and you'll take over. Pretty please?!?!?!
Sincerely, Andrea
