Here's a picture of Luke on Sunday, he spent the entire morning in the nursery for the very first time and even managed to take a nap (every other time we've picked him up he's had big red puffy eyes due to refusing to sleep).

Rice Cereal

Luke started eating rice cereal this week and (contrary to some of the pictures), he seems to be enjoying it. Our only problem so far is that he wants to have his hands everywhere... on the spoon, in the bowl, in his mouth, etc. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if he didn't have hair, but it seems as though the very first thing he does when he gets cereal on his hands is rub it into his hair.... it's a good thing he likes baths! :)

SOOOO big!

As the title of this post would suggest, Luke is getting SOOOOOOOOOOOO big!

I had to pack away more of his clothes this week and get out another group of bigger sizes!

He's starting to laugh, although what makes him laugh varies from hour to hour and he loves to sit up (assisted, of course).

Here's some exciting news... I stopped procrastinating and took my Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities Test (I'm not sure if you could really say I stopped procrastinating since I ended up taking it on the very last possible test date!) and passed (298/300)... I am now officially certified to teach by the State of Texas! I start my inservice on August 7 and I'm really excited. I've started reworking some parts of my classroom to kind of freshen things up and will post some pictures up when it's done.

Unable to find swim diapers small enough and short on time, we decided to put Luke in our tub rather than head to the pool...

Luke's love affair with his fingers continues and as several of the pictures below will show you, he simply can't get enough of them. Thumbs, fingers, his entire hand!

It's especially nice now that he's taken a liking to touching our faces a lot and his hands are always slimey :)
