Luke's Birthday Interview

My plan is to incorporate this into a scrapbook page, but until I get a minute to do that here's Luke's "birthday interview" on it's own...

8) What's your favorite color? Blue because it matches my eyes
9) What's your favorite movie? Toy Story 1, 2 and 3
10) What do you want to be when you grow up? A grown up and an airplane pilot
11) Who is your best friend? Wyatt
12) What's your favorite book? The "Cars Cars" book
13) What's your favorite toy? My cars cars
14) What's your favorite animal? A roly poly

Easter Eggs at The Ranch

Saturday morning we met Dave at The Ranch for an egg hunt and Easter Bunny photo op. Luke was ready to hunt some eggs!

Luke blew by all the eggs directly in front of him in favor of the ones up on the hill. Crazy kid.

Bluebonnets

Apparently I didn't get the memo that if you live in Texas you're supposed to take your kids out in the Spring to get pictures of them in the bluebonnets... because I've never ever done this. There was a field of the flowers pretty close to our house this year so I decided to take them up last Sunday afternoon and try to get a picture of the boys. It was super sunny, hot and there were bees EVERYWHERE! Luke was into the whole thing for about 45 seconds...

When we added little brother into the mix Luke freaked out because "MAson was BREAKING THE LAW BY PICKING THE FLOWERS!!!" and it was kind of downhill from there...

This was (sadly) the best picture I could get of both of them..

At this point, I may or may not have uttered the words, "you will smile and be happy or you won't get a cupcake after dinner". Not my proudest moment. :) Mason is workin' the bottom lip...

This may be my favorite picture from the entire "shoot", just because it truly captured and sums up all of our emotions.

Seriously, how pretty would it have been if they hadn't been screaming, ignoring me and pitching fits?!?!?!

We attempted one more picture with Luke, but there were bees buzzing around and although he was trying he couldn't crack a genuine smile. Not sure if bluebonnet pictures are our thing - we may attempt again, but it probably won't be until next spring. :)
