Fun on the Fourth

We had so much fun this weekend and I thought all the fun deserved a post of it's own ;)

We started the day with a festive quiet time...

... and then a slow breakfast while we hung out and got ready for the day. I made  this coffee cake which is so easy because you prep it the night before and then just bake it in the morning.

I started making "rocket dogs" when my kids were little and it's a tradition that just won't die ;) I've stopped putting them on skewers with cheese and ribbons and all of that like I used to do but they insist on still having these annually ;)

I kept things easy with just fruit and some little snacks to go along with it and they all LOVE this which makes me smile ;)

Literally just hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll strips and then baked. Nothing really "rocket" about them anymore but still delish!

Some cheese stars make everything festive!

Griffin made this berry trifle completely on her own from start to finish and it was SO GOOD!!!

The morning was slow and quiet but then in the afternoon a couple of friends came over along with my parents...

... and I prepped a few more dinner things while everyone played in the pool.

We had a corn hole tournament...

... soaked up the sunshine...

... and grilled burgers for dinner.

I snagged this giant flag on FB marketplace (it's 8 ft x 12 ft) and I was so excited about it!

More corn hole, some hut tubbing, a movie outside...

... and then a few sparklers and games to wrap things up ;)

The night before G went to see fireworks and LOOK AT HOW CUTE THIS PIC IS!

It was such a fun Fourth!

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!
