DITL - No kids edition ;)

I woke up last Tuesday and decided to document a kid-free summer day in the life ;) I was up around 7:30 - earlier than I prefer but i'm trying to get back in some better sleep habits and I was out of the shower, tea in hand, around 8:00.

First order of business was to get our room put back together - I'm not going to lie - camp prep and drop off can be A LOT and I pretty much rotted on Monday. hahahaha So when Tuesday rolled around it was time to get in gear.

The whole thing only took me about 45 minutes and included starting a load of laundry and wiping down the bathroom.

Next up - kitchen....

... which turned into pulling down my July 4th decorations.

An audiobook kept me motivated...

... and I was able to wrap the whole thing up fairly quickly.

The clutter culprit? The usual suspect - Griffin Joy ;) hahaha

Around 10 I sat down to dry my hair and read a bit...

And I was dressed and ready to go by about 10:30...

... I had an Amazon delivery arrive with some new books.

I had to head out to run some errands and as I was walking out I remembered that my car was in the shop and I was going to have to drive Luke's truck.

My first stop was the optometrist to order my glasses - look at that parking job! They were super busy when I walked in so I decided to go run my other errands and then come back later...

... first stop... Marshalls!

I needed to grab a set of twin sheets but OF COURSE had to poke around a bit. Look how cute this big orange metal bow was!

I grabbed a cute pair of shoes...

... and a few other little notebooks and things...

... and then decided to grab some lunch.

I popped back into the optometrist to get my glasses ordered...

... and then headed up to school for a 1:30 meeting.  I stopped by Luke's senior parking spot really quick to figure out what still needs to get done...

... and then met in my classroom to get some plans rolling for next year. I hadn't been up there at all this summer and was a little surprised at the state of things. hahahaha Apparently I got new carpet - and have a whole lot of work to do.

My meeting was over around 3:00 and my brain was hurting from information overload and when I had to drive past McDonalds to get to the UPS store I made a the smartest poor decision and grabbed a large diet coke for the road ;)

I stopped in at the UPS store...

... and got home to get the mail and unbox a couple of school supplies for G.

I had a standoff with Rosie who INSISTS on trying to bring in wiffle balls from outside and then destroying them. She won't eat them outside but will absolutely shred them underneath our dining room table.

I got some carne asade into a marinade...

... and then met up with a few other moms at 5:00 at Starbucks for the Senior events planning committee.

I got home around 6:30 and immediately got into comfy clothes and pulled my hair up because INFORMATION OVERLOAD! hahahaha

I ate a piece of strawberry cake...

... ordered a giant calendar to try and make myself feel like I had my life together...

... and then absolutely devoured some carne asade with cheese and rice.

I worked on my computer trying to gather my thoughts from the day and tackle a bunch of emails I needed to send and around 9:00 Dave made me plug it in and watch Quarterback while NOT working ;) hahaha

I changed into jammies, washed my face...

... and slathered on some night oil and CRASHED by about 10 pm. hahaha

And there you have it! I wish the day had entailed floating in the pool and eating a plate of cheese and crackers BUT it happened to be a busier day ;)

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!
