Weekend Happies

Y'all! What a weekend!  We didn't intentionally plan to pack this weekend full of fun but it worked out that way and we're not mad about it :)

Friday night we headed to Dallas to see Wicked!  Dave and I have seen it a couple of times here and in NYC and were SO EXCITED to get to share it with the kids.  I had forgotten how great it was and we all agreed that next time it's in town we're going again.

Such a fun night!

The kids built all kinds of forts this weekend which made me all kinds of happy.  My brother and I made forts ALL THE TIME growing up. (PS - they used  these kids to make the frame)

We celebrated our nephew Beau's 6th birthday this weekend which was so much fun. I seriously can't believe he's about to turn SIX!

Griffin celebrated a friend at a painting party...

... and Saturday night we went to TCU's first game of the season!  Luke went with friends but we saw him during halftime which was fun :)

It seriously may have been the sweatiest I have been in my entire life but we had the best time regardless ;) Seriously though - we left the stadium at 11 pm and it was still 91 degrees with what felt like 800% humidity.  CRAZY TOWN.

We waited after the game and the boys all got gloves signed by Max Duggan - NIGHT MADE!!!  Seriously - I wanted to call his mama and tell her just how sweet he was and brag on him to her because she should be proud!

I got some Fall decor out which made my heart SO HAPPY!  It's still crazy hot here so I needed a little Fall in my life :)

A fun gift wrap situation always makes me happy...

... and my mom makes Rosie REALLY happy :)

Time with the turtles put smiles on our faces...

... as did Rummikub with Haha...

... and this cutie before church.

Told y'all it was packed!

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!!! Here's hoping you had a great weekend as well!

  1. Yep, that's pretty hot! Fall weather has hit here and I'm not at all mad about that. I just love the fall... and hope that winter takes it's sweet time getting here. That looks like a wild party; love that mid air action shot.
