Weekend Top 10

Happy Monday, friends!  I wasn't planning on doing a weekend recap - but this weekend was another one of those full and fun ones that I don't want to forget so here we go...

It's worth documenting that on Friday morning it was chilly enough to require COATS!  COATS!!!  I ate it up.  We even broke out the puffer coats I just bought at the uniform store for next school year :)

Saturday morning was absolute perfection.  We didn't have anywhere to be, it was chilly and rainy and the kids managed to make this much of a mess before 9 a.m.  Loved every minute of it!

Luke was at a sleepover and these two played SO WELL together - Mason read to her (without me asking him to!) and it was just the sweetest.

Saturday afternoon Mason's flag football team played in the league championship and they played SO HARD!  Mason had some great flag pulls and his biggest fan was there to cheer him on...

A few of the varsity football players from school came to cheer them on and I can't say enough great things about this season.

BESTIES!

After the game we met some of the team for burgers and a few solid rounds of king of the hill (seriously though... who thought this was big hill in between restaurant patios was a good idea)...

Saturday night we snuggled up, watched a movie and laughed our tails off at Jelly Bean following a yoyo and passed out early :)

Sunday morning was all homemade cards and gifts (THE BEST!) and then we were off to church...

Dave was working and after church the kids and I decided to venture downtown for brunch on the square.

It still kind of blows my mind that I've reached the point where I can take them out for a meal on a whim and it's not just "fine" but FUN!

We spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool...

... and in the kitchen where Luke whipped up a cake for Mother's Day completely on his own.

Dave got home and we picked up my parents and headed to dinner.  Griffin wanted to take a "lovey picture" with me (where we rub noses) and Mason and his pizza crust photo bombed us.  :)

Feeling so blessed to be their mom!!!  And having a hard time looking at how TALL all my people have gotten!

Happy Monday, friends!!!

    1. And you don't have to pack half of your house to survive! So nice to be able to do things like that on a whim!

  4. I just want to say I love your blog! I have three and four year old boys and we welcomed our sweet baby girl two weeks ago! I love reading about your sweet family! While I’m savoring every bit of the chaos that is our life right now, I’m also anticipating the days ahead where we can all go out together for fun (and NO diaper bags ) Thanks for keeping it real and constantly inspiring the exhausted moms at home with the littles!

    1. His schedule can have some harder days (like holidays) but we're so grateful for the flexibility his job provides MOST of the time!

  6. Well, I'm not sure your kiddos could be any cuter! And, what a fun weekend and most especially because it was all about family. Enjoy these days my dear, they will be gone all too soon. They really will. It seems just yesterday ours were that age and now they are 40 and 43 and they've given us 4 Grans with another due in Sept. Have a great new week!

  7. I know you've posted a link before to that grey romper, but I think it was sold out back then. Any chance you know if it's available again?

    1. To mine? It's a Free People one that I don't believe came back - but I'll keep an eye out because it's my summer closet staple!
