Weekend Recap: Kite Day Edition

Last Friday was Kite Day at MCA - which was super exciting because last year's was cancelled due to SNOW!  It was an absolutely GORGEOUS day and we had so much fun getting to enjoy it together.  Dave and Griffin came out during the Pre-K time to watch Mason...

Mason always loves it when Griffin comes to school :)  He likes to show her to all of his friends and he's genuinely sweet to her.  It's precious.

Check out that blue sky full of kites!

Mason and his buddy, Beckham.

After some kite flying it was time for snow cones ;)

I went back to class and Dave took Griffin to Miss Lisa's and then it was time for 1st Grade to fly!

We didn't have a staff meeting (hallelujah!) so I packed up and headed home to get a head start on Spring Break... read: Downton Abbey and a nap :)

A new, super comfy, Evys Tree piece arrived just in time for break!

Everyone is home and ready to relax!!!

First up on Mason's agenda?  Spending 30 minutes bouncing around the yard on a giant bouncy ball.

Saturday morning Griffin and I hit up Starbucks before heading to Luke's 8 am game followed by dance.

and we ran into McKinley!!!  Mason was totally jealous!

Donut holes and soccer bright and early!

Griffin and I had to leave the game early for dance.

But how sweet is this???

We spent the rest of Saturday cleaning out the garage, attic and closets.  We were able to pass along lots of great things to other families and had minimal tears about saying goodbye to some baby items :)  #imayhavecried  #lovemesomebabies

Sunday morning Dave had to work, so it was just me and the kids for church... and I had one extra kid in tow :)

After church, my dad and I took the kids to the club for lunch.

NOT lookin gforward to summer, but am definitely a fan of floral and linen for Spring :)
(Yellow floral tank can be found HERE)

Dave got done with work and it was time for a walk around the neighborhood.

Then we cruised the golf course, but didn't last long because the wind was CRAZY!

Sunday night was AWESOME!!! Narci hosted a Downton Series Finale party and I got to bid adieu to one of my favorite shows ever alongside some of my favorite people ever (and queso). :)

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!

  5. I seriously need to Amazon Prime last season's Downton so I can watch this one. Love the floral top. I'm with you; I'm not a fan of hot, sticky, humid summers.
