EEEEK!!!! I have been soooooooooo looking forward to today!!! It's seriously one of my favorite days of the year. Two of my favorite things are getting a peek into people's homes and Christmas decorations - so today is THE BEST!
So, here's my house :) This is standing in the far corner of our family room....
And yes... there's a pumpkin on top of my cabinet :) I meant to take it down. hahaha
I'm a sucker for a Christmas pillow :)
This little nativity is played with constantly. Several of the pieces have been chewed on by Jack Bauer, we've lost (and found!) baby Jesus multiple times and it's never set up "pretty" - but it's perfect :)
I've had several questions about the lights on our tree - and I hate to disappoint, but it's a prelit tree from WalMart and we didn't add a single strand of lights.
The M was made my a couple at church who are raising money for their adoption.
I found this huge lantern at HomeGoods and I filled it with assorted ornaments.
So. Our tree. It's a HOT MESS of sentimental ornaments and handmade paraphernalia. The kids helped to decorate it and so more than half the ornaments are on the bottom third and there are multiple ornaments on one branch (GASP!) and similar ornaments are grouped together (GASP again!) hahaha.
I wouldn't change a thing.
We pick up ornaments when we travel and love incorporating our kids into this tradition and letting them pick...
No ornament is too big or tacky for our tree :)
That sasafrass is yours truly ;)
Yes... that's a Santa head made out of a bobber :)
Spiderman and ballet shoes :)
I love that our tree is jam packed of memories and fun.
Hello, I'm Andrea and I'm addicted to twinkle lights :)
Okay. So I bought this stand a while ago and up until yesterday I had nothing on it except for a few random ornaments that fell off of the tree next to the fireplace. I stopped in at Trader Joes to pick up gingerbread cookies and pretzel sticks and walked out with an armful of fresh cut tree greens.
I cut the greens apart, made a HUGE mess, threw in a few tealights and ornaments and called it a day!
And I LOVE how it turned out!
They were only $5 for the entire bunch and I had more than enough. BARGAIN!
The signs are lyrics from O, Holy Night and I bought them from Vine and Branches.
The basket is where we drop Christmas cards as they come in.
A couple people commented on my Stocking Stuffer Post about how BIG some of the items I highlighted were... well, the picture below should explain my skewed perspective. :)
We have HUUUUGE stockings! I ordered them a few years ago and didn't pay attention to the sizing. hahaha
Just a note - but if you order the BIG stockings, find someone locally to embroider them for you because Pottery Barn can't do the lettering this large.
The tree next to the fireplace is filled with jeweled fruit, pine cones and berries.
This is the chair where you can often find various kids sitting reading books after dinner.
All of the little crystal pieces are from our wedding. My mom and I scoured Crate and Barrel stores and bought every single one we could find. Ten years later and I still love pulling them out!
Over at the kids little table I have crayons and markers out because they have been all about some Christmas coloring/crafting. It's been GORGEOUS the past few days which means they're outside and the sliding door is open. Perfection!
I think I've mentioned this before, but this nativity was a wedding gift - wasn't that a great idea?
that glass jar is full of these little white fudge brushed gingerbread men from Trader Joes - HEAVEN!
I hope you enjoyed the little tour! Tomorrow my plan is to share a few little touches I have around in the bedrooms and office.
Now, you can link up below and share your decor! Happy Tuesday, Friends!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always! I love the new tiered tray with fresh greens. I bet it smells amazing!
ReplyDeleteAlso- I LOVE your random ornament tree. Is it sad that my fave ornaments on there are the food ones. I always wondered who bought the random hamburger, pickle, hot dog, burrito ornaments from Target. Now I know! Haha
Love your house. When I grow up, I want to be able to decorate like you..
ReplyDeleteI am cracking up about the stockings size! I ordered from PB this year and did the same.... I was totally shocked by how big they were haha. I do wish I knew beforehand that its best to have them embroidered elsewhere -- excellent tip!
ReplyDelete<3 from FL
Love love love all of this! And I totally agree with you about the ornaments on the tree. We have all every single ornament hanging on our tree since hubs and I were both born. They are all shapes, sizes, and themes, and we love taking that trip down memory lane each year when we pull them all out.
ReplyDeleteI think you need to come to Ohio and decorate my house! I always love seeing your house decorated for season or holiday. Just looks so festive and inviting! And I love that wooden M! Is that family still making them to raise money? I would love to see about ordering one if so :)
ReplyDeleteYour house looks great! So pretty! We got a nativity set as a wedding gift also!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS house! I love the thing you threw together and called it a day - I think I Have to borrow this idea for next year! :)

ReplyDeleteLove how festive and cozy your home is! We are slowly building our Christmas decor collection because my new goal for shopping is to only buy things I love, not just because they were on sale lol! Thanks for sharing :)

So cozy and festive! It all looks beautiful! Love the lyric signs and those oversize stockings! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely home. Thanks for the tour and the fun party. I love the big stockings. Stockings are our tradition here. It's just the two of us, and we fill each other's stocking with gifts. We could actually use larger stockings. I bought new smaller stocking 15 years ago, and my husband complained that they were too small since we put all gifts in the stockings. Guess I should think about upgrading to some like yours. '-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
I love how you have "Christmas" in every part of your home. You inspired me to by some twinkle lights at Target yesterday. Now my mantle is even more festive;).
ReplyDeleteI love love love your home!!! That picture of you when your were young looks just like Mason!! Merry Christmas, thanks for sharing!
