Griffin Joy! Today you are two! And that is impossible, because it was literally just yesterday that I put you in your very first monogram and bow and then proceeded to bawl my hormonal eyes out over the BEAUTIFUL little girl that God gave me.
You are PERFECTION, Griffin!
Your little button nose, chubby cheeks and sparkly eyes captivated us (and everyone else!) right from the very beginning...
You are a mama's girl through and through...
... and when you say, "Mommy", in your teeny little voice I turn into a puddle. I can't help it.
You may be a mama's girl, but you have your daddy wrapped around your little finger. ;)
You've got some serious dance skills and I don't think I'll ever be able to change my ringtone (it's "Fancy") because whenever it goes off you drop whatever you're doing and bust a move.
You have an EPIC set of thighs that aren't just cute to look at - but they're the most fun spot ever to tickle. You think so too.
You can rock a bow like nobodies business. My heart swells every time you point at your stash and squeal, "bow"!
You LOVE all accessories - necklaces, purses, bows - all of it. You've never met some sparkle you don't like!
There isn't anything that your brothers do that you won't attempt, which scares the SNOT out of me :) Jumping on the couch, fearlessly picking up roly polies and inhaling ketchup like it's your job. It's a serious case of "monkey see, monkey do" at our house all day, every day.
You are a wild woman at the park!
You love babies and kitties and pushing both of the aforementioned in your stroller.
It's been so sweet for me to see your sweet little maternal side come out through dolls and stuffed animals. You rock them, feed them and make sure they're tucked into their bed.
You have a handful of words that you use on a regular basis (Mommy, Daddy, NO!, mine, shoes, bow and more), but I feel like you are teetering right on the verge of a full vocabulary. I have a sneaking suspicion that once you start talking you'll be giving us an earful nonstop.
Despite not having lots of words yet, you babble CONSTANTLY!
You have STRONG opinions about what shoes you want to wear...
... and if I put you in ones you don't like, you'll go to your room, pull them off and put on ones that you do love.
You are FIERCELY independent and insist on doing/attempting pretty much everything on your own.
You screech "LET IT GO" at least once a day and demand to watch Princess Elsa belt it out. Most TV doesn't hold your attention for too long, but I'm fairly certain you'd watch that movie through twice in a row if we'd let you.
You have THE BEST big brothers. They totally dote on you and love you so very much. They share with you, include you in their games and always tell you how beautiful you look. You are one lucky little sister!
You can't leave the house without a menagerie of babies and bags...
... and I'm already terrified of taking you to the pool this summer because if the bathtub is any indication of your fear of the water then I'm going to be on HIGH ALERT all summer long. You throw yourself under the water, plunging your little face in with your eyes wide open and when I yank you out you're all giggles. Sigh.
I'm not sure there has EVER been a happier little girl.
You RADIATE joy...
... and you're determined to leave everyone you meet with a smile on their face.
You're confident and observant and you like everything "in it's place". We joke that you inherited that gene from your Gibi :)
Your absolute favorite thing to do is read books...
... and you don't discriminate, any book will do. As long as you're in a lap with a book, you're happy.
You are special...
... and joyful...
... and so stinkin' precious. You're a dream come true and I love everything about you (even your sassy parts).
Girlfriend, my prayer for you is that you are always filled with joy and sparkle, because happy girls are the prettiest :)
