Last Week of School

Today was Luke's last full day of Mother's Day Out. He'll go again on Thursday, but it's an "early release day" and he won't have his backpack or anything.

Here is the little guy back in August on his very first day of school... ... and here he was today!

He has LOVED going to school and has made lots of little friends. He's worked on his social skills (a.k.a - not hugging our friends and then tackling them to the ground) and learned a lot (although we can rarely get him to tell us about it when he gets home because he's too busy playing with his toys that "he's missed so much all day").

I still can't get over how much he's grown and changed in the last 9 months! (P.S. - my goal for "back-to-school pictures" in August is that my porch doesn't look at NASTY as it does in this year's August pictures. hahaha)

Playground Picnic

Last Thursday night I needed to run up to school to pick up some exams and so Gibi came with me and the boys and we decided to have a picnic on the playground while we were there. Luke ran around, did the slide and ate - I took pictures :)

"Look, Mommy - I am gomping my cheeto!" (he says gomp instead of chomp) hehehe

Mason is losing most of his hair... Gibi loves him anyway :)

Like I said, he's balding - but so far it's only on the top... and he's kept a mohawk in the middle.

You can really see the Donald Trump style mohawk in the pic below...

Cool Guys

On Friday night, Gibi, Mason and I headed off to MCA's Graduation (my very first group of 8th graders are going to college!!!) and Haha and Luke headed to the square to watch a bike race and eat ice cream. Luke got some cool new sunglasses in his end-of-the-year "summer fun" gift basket at school and he insisted on wearing them since Haha had on his sunglasses...

Love these cool guys!

Splish, Splash!

Today we headed to the pool for the first time of the season! Luke was extremely excited and couldn't wait to get there and bring his cars along. He was a little t.o-ed at me for asking him to stop so I could take his picture - I think that's what prompted the sitting...

I finally got him to stand up by asking him to stand on one leg :)

When we got to the pool he didn't let the FRIGID water stop him - he kicked off his flip flops and was in the water before Dave and I had even set all of our gear down.

The boy wears a size 3T in pretty much everything (2Ts are typically way too short) - and when we put his 3T bathing suit on him this morning it was a little loose, but we didn't think much of it. BUT, once the suit was wet and heavy he couldn't keep it up...

His sweet little hiney was showing all day. I'm going to have to safety pin all of his suits or devise some other way of keeping them up this summer.

We stayed for lunch and didn't even make it over to the "big pool" because Luke was having so much fun splashing and playing in the little one.

As you can see, Mason and I weren't itching to get over the big pool either - we were both perfectly content in the shade (and the 60+ mph wind gusts - that explains the CRAZY hair).

Mason slept pretty much the entire time - I think he really enjoyed being out in the "breeze"

One last "jump" into the water (all 6" of it - hahaha) before we head out for the day :)

He's already asking to go back - so prepare yourselves for LOTS of pool pics over the next few months because I think this is where we'll be spending most of our mornings.

Mason - 1 Month

Mason had his 1-month check-up on May 16th and he weighed in at 8 lbs 3 oz! BIG GUY! I decided to try and snap a few "1-month" pictures of him (the plan is to do this monthly) and I know that to everyone else they all look almost the same... but I couldn't post just one (or even five, apparently) At 1-month old, Mason is still a SUPER easy baby. He eats about every 3 hours during the day, and at night it varies... some nights he'll wake up after 4 hours, other nights it's 6.

He's definitely becoming more alert and is starting to really "see" things.

At this point, Luke (who had been dressed, but apparently decided to take off all of his clothes to go potty), came in and wanted to know what we were doing...
He thought that holding the sign was cool for all of about 20 seconds.

After holding the sign long enough, he wanted me to take pictures of him reading to baby Mason: And then he wanted to "uncurl" Mason's fingers so he could see how big they were compared to his...

Sweet :)
Even more sweet :)

Scrapbooking - LOTS of pages

As always, I'm trying to stay current as well as get caught up on my digital scrapbooking. Here's the first installment of LOTS of pages that I've been working on...
