Three Things - First Day Edition

 

- LAST ONE, BEST ONE-

Well. Here we are. I'm still processing #allthethings but as I was taking these photos Luke goes, "I guess this is the last time I'll take these pics" and for some reason that made it all feel super real. Forget senior sunrise, senior retreat prep, senior car window painting, painting his senior parking spot... this was what did me in. Bittersweet is really the only word I have for it!

- ENTREPRENEURSHIP -

Luke has a pretty packed academically rigorous schedule this year with APs and all of that but he was accepted into a brand new entrepreneurship class that is is SUPER pumped about. Apparently they'l be launching a business as a class and we're all pretty excited to see how that works.

- CAR PLAY -

We laughed SO HARD this week because Luke got a new charging cable for his truck and realized that he has Apple car play! He's had this truck for over two years and never realized. He is SO HAPPY! hahaha

- YEARBOOK -

Mason was recruited to join yearbook this year and he is SO EXCITED! Y'all know he's fallen in love with photography and I think he'll be excellent at the layout/creative part as well. I'm excited to see him try something new!

- LEARNER'S PERMIT -

I mentioned in an earlier post that Mason got his learners permit back in July. He was SO NERVOUS to drive but has quickly fallen in love with it! He asks us to go practice (which was not the case with Luke!) and is doing so well!

- SALESMAN -

If you know Mason in person then you know he could literally sell anything to anyone ;) He's charming and personable and he went door-to-door this summer power-washing trash cans and we laughed because most of his clients overpaid him because he was so polite! hahaha

- HONORS SCIENCE -

Griffin made it into our Honor's science class which means she'll get to go to Big Bend just like Mason and Luke. She was SUPER NERVOUS about this and her hard work paid off! 

- ALL THE ROM COMS -

G and I have watched ALLLLL the girly rom-coms this summer and I mean ALL. The Notebook, The Wedding Planner, 10 Things I Hate About You, My Best Friends Wedding, the list goes on and on and on. It's been SO FUN to share all of my favorites with her! Perks of having older kids ;) 

- CHEER CAPTAIN -

G tried out for cheer last Spring and made the Performance team. She was also chosen to be a captain and is so excited to serve in this role. Griffin LOVES being in a "big sister" role to younger girls and does SUCH A GOOD JOB at this after being the "little sister" for EVER and experiencing what it feels like to have older girls really pour into her life. More than the cheer or dance part we're so looking forward to seeing her shine in this part of cheer!
