Griffin turns thirteen this Friday (HOW?!?!?!) and we celebrated with her friends last week due to crazy Spring schedules (Easter, school events, baseball tournaments, etc) and it was the PERFECT way to celebrate!
She originally wanted to do puppy yoga with a few girlfriends, but after she and I went and she realized how quiet you had to be during the class (hahahaha) she went looking for other options. She settled on Top Golf and so we booked a double bay for a Friday that we had off of school (we did one of their party packages) and I got a quick invitation texted out to parents...
I ordered balloons from Michaels (I still miss Party City!) and they turned out so cute. I didn't tell Griffin that I ordered them because I knew she would be like WHY?!?!?! hahaha So when we pulled up at Top Golf and Dave got the balloons out of the car she just about died ;) hahahaha BUT WHAT WOULD BE A PARTY WITHOUT DECOR?!?!?!
Immediately thought of this...
When she decided to have a Top Golf party I immediately ordered this acrylic cake topper. I messaged with the seller and had her make it pink and green and it turned out SO CUTE! I found the plaid napkins in the Easter section at HomeGoods and then just matched the balloons to the pink/green theme. EASY!
The double layer cookie cake I ordered from WalMart and it was SO GOOD!!! The candles I dug out of my leftover party bin the morning of the party ;)
There were 9 kids there total...
... and they had a blast golfing, being silly....
.... opening gifts....
... and eating! We ordered a few of these appetizer trays and a TON of Dr Peppers ;) and they were good to go!
LOOK HOW CUTE THE BALLOONS WERE!
THE SWEETEST GROUP OF KIDS!!!
G opted for a mixed group this year instead of an all-girl party and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter group of kids! So grateful for how steadily and well these kids support our girl - perfect way to kick off teenage-hood ;)
So this pic isn't great at all but we laughed SO HARD and I don't want to forget it - after all of her friends left we gathered up our things and were heading out and her friend AJ was carrying the balloons because she was MORTIFIED at carrying them herself and having people look at her - so he carried them for her BUT announced to everyone on the way out (along with her brothers) that it was her 13th birthday ;) SHE COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING and then as we walked through the lobby are the 3 balloon hit the fan and popped so loud and we all lost it it was so funny. I'm not sure there's anything better than seeing your kid laughing uncontrollably and I'm so glad that she has a sweet friend who brings out her silly side and can make her laugh like that!
I still can't believe our BABY will be a teenager on Friday! Don't blink, y'all!!!

What a sweet party.
