Weekend Recap - They're Back Edition ;)

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND! Saturday morning my mom and I headed out bright and early to drive out to Van to pick up Mason and Griffin after a week of camp.  As always, the entire process couldn't have been more smooth from start to finish - luggage pickup, camper checkout, pre-registering for next year - all of it was a breeze.

We grabbed a drink and settled in for the closing show...

... and then picked up our campers from their counselors.

IT WAS A GREAT WEEK!!!

HAPPY MAMA!!

We headed home but had to make our annual stop at this Whataburger for sustenance since the meals, purchased snacks and snacks I sent for the week apparently weren't enough ;) hahaha

YES MA'AM.

We chatted for about an hour and then they both passed out...

When we got home it was reunion time...

... and then trunk cleanout time this year with a special guest - 4000 ants in G's trunk. hahaha

We think that when they set her trunk out for pickup on Saturday morning the ants must have found her OPEN BAG OF BUGLES via the wheel well of her trunk. hahaha It definitely made cleanup a bit more interesting than normal!

I'm never more thankful for our Speed Queen washer and dryer than I am on this day ;)

Everything washed, everyone showered and snuggled up on the couch.  AMEN.

We're hosting four Pine Cove counselors for the week while they work at city camp at our church - so Saturday night we got them all settled in as well...

MY GIRL IS BACK! ;)

Sunday we kept things low key with church...

... some Just Dance...

... and a little painting.

This week we're back into the swing of things with cross country practice, volunteering at school, birthday parties, etc.  We're holding onto summer for dear life and hope to spend some time in the pool this week too.

HAPPY Monday, friends!!!

  1. Looks like a great reunion. I remember those weekends so well. . .loving having everyone back under one roof (although you don't have that YET) and getting it all unpacked and washed. . .happy times. Every time I see G with that pillow I laugh - I bought those pillow covers for everyone for Christmas one year (including myself) and just used mine this weekend too! They have definitely stood the test of time :)

  3. Yay!! You have 2/3 kiddos home! I know you're one happy Mama!! Eeek... ants are no fun! Hopefully they weren't too much of a pest. Have a great week poolside! :) This is my last week until I'm back at school, so I'm doing the same. ;)
