Easter Gifts for 6 and Under

Today I'm sharing a few Easter ideas perfect for younger kiddos.  I love how independent and fun my kids are and I definitely feel like we're in this "sweet spot" with their ages right now but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss filling their easter baskets with bubbles and play dough and Hot Wheels cars :)

I mention  this book every year but it is THE BEST Easter book.

It starts in the garden, explains how sin separated us from God and how the curtain represented that.

It goes into Jesus and the crucifixion and how on the cross Jesus did away with the need for the curtain.

The illustrations are beautiful but the message is even better.  I really can't recommend it enough!

We love Jellycat stuffed animals and  these bunnies are so soft and they last FOREVER! We have several who have been washed 1000 times and if bunnies aren't your kids thing they have so many other cute options.

Zingo! was always one of our favorite games when my kids were younger.  There are math versions, letter identification versions and sight word versions and kids LOVE the little tile dispenser.

If your kids are a little bit older (I'd say 5 and up) Qwirkle is a super fun game that's easy for them to learn and is fun for older kids and adults to play as well.  It's one of the only games that we all really enjoyed (and still do!) to play together when Griffin was younger.

I feel like bubbles are an Easter basket staple and if you want to step up your bubble game you HAVE to check out  these giant bubble wands.  We had a few sets set up at Mason and Griffin's birthday party a couple of years ago and they are a BLAST!

If you don't have a set of  resurrection eggs I HIGHLY recommend grabbing one.  The eggs tell the story of Jesus's death and resurrection in a fun, colorful and tangible way.  We've purchased sets for the kids classroom teachers over the years and still get ours out and go through the eggs every Easter.

A new swimsuit is an easter basket tradition in our house and look how sweet  this one is...

The print on  this seagull suit is so cute!

My kids still play with kinetic sand :) You can build with it, squish it, mold it and it's just so much fun.  It's easy to clean up as well which is a huge plus.

Nothing sweeter than splashing in spring puddles and I love the "handles" on  these boots that make them easy to pull on and that they can be passed from sibling to sibling.  Classic!

Sidewalk chalk always ended up in our kids Easter baskets...

Last, but not least one of my all-time FAVORITE toys are  counting bears...

Sorting, counting, grouping, etc.  They're simple fun and under $13 for the set.

HAPPY Wednesday, friends!!!

  2. Wow, the resurrection eggs sound so fun! I'd never heard of those. I'm afraid though that they won't be available here in the Netherlands. The Easter book is such a great gift too.
