This week has been busy on the blog. B.U.S.Y.
Monday was Favorite Things, Tuesday I shared your Yes Mom moments and yesterday was the first Recipe Club!!! I LOVED looking through everyone's recipes (even though I haven't had a chance to look at them all yet!) and can't wait to give them a try. Today I'm playing catch up and am going to share TONS of pics of what we've been up to this past week/weekend.
Friday was Bug Day at school. Luke was having a "moment" when i twas time to go to class.... but I promise he loved being a horse fly. Get it?!?!?! :)
After the parade, I loaded up on a bus with fifty 6th, 7th and 8th graders and headed to Mission Regan for community outreach day.
We sorted medical supplies, cleaned and organized.... but before we started they got to hear the story behind Mission Regan from Josh.
After our morning of volunteering, I headed to the country club to check on the decorating progress. I had some sweet parents inflate all the balloons for me that morning. All 300 of them. hahahaha
I do student government for Middle School and I've learned that the more "self absorbed" you can make the event, the better. hahaha We had a photo slideshow, mini "most likely to" awards and a photobooth. The kids LOVED it and my fellow chaperones and I got in on the fun, too :)
This is about as semi-formal as I get.... especially after a full day of volunteering/teaching/etc. :)
Saturday morning the kiddos were up bright and early (because isn't that always how it works when you're up late the night before????) and so Mason and I headed out to WalMart for a date :)
The boys played outside all afternoon and G spent most of her time watching them through the window...
My parents birthdays were April 24th and 25th (coincidentally those were Mason and Griffin's due dates!), and so after church we went to brunch at the country club. Griffin was REALLY enjoying her pecan pie...
After naps, G ate some dirt...
... and I got organized while the kiddos ate dinner.
Mason walked around in my wedges...
... while Dave joined some of the guys from our Sunday School class for bowling and laser tag (they played against a group of little girls. Seriously. Eight year olds. hahaha)
I am loving my new Turquoise and Caicos polish by Essie (not my old lady hands, but the polish... and yes.... it was a double Starbucks kind of morning).
And we went and had dinner with some of our most favorite people... the Shulls! After dinner I found these on my phone :)
Shay snapped these sweet pics of my little monkey...
Tuesday my Period 4 class left me this sweet selfie on my phone during passing period :) hahaha My phone charger is plugged in on this little side table and I often find selfies on there at the end of the day.
Griffin's first pair of All Stars arrived...
And Luke LOVED having to take turns on the trampoline with his brother...
A sweet sweet teacher at school made Mason some laminated "order" sheets (she knew how much he loves being a chef!) and he played FOR EVER with them...
Yesterday morning, Griffin and I headed out to Texas School... a yearly photography school that happens in Addison. They bring in photographers from all over the country to teach classes and Griffin was modeling for the AMAZING Julie Klaasmeyer. Julie did her newborn photos last year and I was super pumped to see her again!
After naps (for both of us!) we picked up Mason from Miss Lisa's house and then headed to MCA to pick up Luke Man. They were all happy and somewhat compliant and so I snapped a group pic :)
Whew!!! It's been a BUSY BUSY BUSY week and I don't think it's going to slow down any time soon. I am sooooooo looking forward to summer :) hahaha
Okay, I'm convinced you must never sleep! :)
