Reese's cookies

Dave is a HUGE peanut butter cup fan and will pick a cookie over a piece of cake 9 times out of 10 and so when I was looking for a sweet treat to make him for Father's Day I was hopeful that  this one would be a winner.  I added some Reese's Pieces to it because #whynot and the cookies were a HUGE hit!  The best part was that the kids made them pretty much from start to finish (with help, of course) and they were really proud of their Father's Day surprise for Dave.

Here's What You'll Need...
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups chopped Reese's peanut butter cups
- 1 cup Reese's pieces candies

What You'll Do...
- Cream together the butter, peanut butter and sugars until they're light and fluffy.  Beat in the eggs and vanilla.  In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.  Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well.  Stir in the chocolate chips, chopped Reese's cups and Reese's pieces.

- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased baking sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1o minutes (or until the edges are slightly browned).  Cool for a couple of minutes and then remove them to cool completely on a wire rack.

A few notes...
- I had my kids unwrap and chop the Reese's cups.  I refrigerated them for a few hours before to make them easier to handle.

- After dropping the dough onto the baking sheets I added a couple of extra pieces of chopped peanut butter cup tot he tops because YUM.

Pour yourself a big glass of milk and ENJOY!!!

These have made it to the top of our "on repeat" list and were SO SO SO GOOD!  If you have a peanut butter cup lover in your house they're a must.  Next time I'm going to try using some dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's

ENJOY!!!

  4. You should try Aldi’s peanut butter cups- they are so so so amazing and don’t have any strange additives.

  5. I'm a big lover of Reesee's as well. But I think I almost like the TJ's dark chocolate PB cups better. I don't have a TJ's close by so it is a treat when I can get them.
