Weekend Top 10

Friday was a busy day - pep rally, TONS of projects getting turned in, last day of the quarter, etc.  But how AMAZING was the sky?!?!  It was absolutely unreal and such a treat.

All of our Saturday plans were rained out which was a disappointment and a blessing all at the same time.  We had a quiet and PERFECT little day at home and it was exactly what we needed.  Yes, these two worked together on coloring for over an hour with the doors open and rain outside and no, we don't normally allow kids on the table :)

Speaking of perfect day - we got all the kids rooms organized and deep cleaned and there's nothing like a fresh space to inspire some creative play

Dave went into work and my mom stopped by which is always a treat.

Saturday night Dave pulled in from work and busted this group of middle school girls "webbing" our house.  They were so cute and we sent them off to the next house with brownies and bottled water :)

Sunday morning and excited to pose in front of the webs from Saturday night.

And excited to be wearing our matching clogs for the first time!

Sunday afternoon I stationed myself on the couch to grade papers and work on report cards and these two managed to be as close to me humanly possible.  ;)

Just as I was getting ready to get all of the grades entered into the grade book the power went out (two transformers blew up???) and so we decided to make a quick Costco run for those delicious naan dippers and fruit.  We also grabbed some pumpkins to carve...

... and checked out all of the Christmas decor goodness.

We came home and worked on putting up some Halloween decor.  The kids have been BEGGING to make our house spooky and this year we're making it happen... even if it's taking WAY longer and is way more complicated than I anticipated. hahaha

Today we're bracing for full-on Winter... it was 90 degrees last weekend and today the HIGH is 42.  FORTY TWO.  I'll take it!

HAPPY Monday, friends!!!

  6. I am here for the 42 degrees! I may even cave and turn on the fireplace tonight. I've been wanting to for day, but my husband thought it was too early. I think the 40s is fireplace worthy :)
