Weekend Top 10

Friday is Spirit Day at school and I loved these two in their jerseys!  Does it get any better than wearing your big brothers jersey to school???

Mason was supposed to have his first football game on Saturday morning but it got rained out and so he and Dave were able to come with us to Beau's birthday breakfast.  We had a GREAT time and we were cracking up as Beau wanted NOTHING to do with his birthday muffin.  Being three is HARD, y'all!!!

My brother lives about an hour away and so on the way to/from the party I prepped for my girls small group at school on Monday.  If you have a pre-teen/teen daughter this is SUCH A great book!

It was STILL raining when we got home so we had to spend some time jumping in puddles...

Saturday afternoon was rainy and dark and I've been battling sinus junk all week so I ditched my to-do-list and did a lot of this instead...

... and the kids did a lot of playing.  It was quiet and cozy and PERFECT.  It wasn't completely unproductive - I did manage to cut all the boys hair AND make a double batch of chocolate chip cookies :)

Sidenote - we're thinking of getting rid of the coffee table in this room and getting a bigger sofa... we moved the coffee table a couple of weeks ago to give them a bit more room to play and have been loving all the floor space!

Cozy jammies and rainy afternoon - PERFECT!

After church we headed to the square for lunch.

This girl was CRACKING us up!  There was a mirrored column right next to our table which provided some much-needed pre-meal entertainment :)

And we made sure to pop into one of our favorite shops before heading home.

A pedicure turned wind tunnel moment after naps on Sunday afternoon...

... and dinner with Dave's family Sunday night.

We capped off the weekend with a family walk around the neighborhood... complete with BOTH pets.  Yes, Jelly Bean walks with us.  She's a mess :)

It was SUCH a great weekend and we are refreshed and ready to take on the week!  HAPPY MONDAY, friends!!!

  6. So many favorites...I just love back pictures of kids when wearing jerseys with their names on them. Super cute. Also poor Jack Bauer....still wearing the cone. Poor thing but I also loved the story last night showing y'all going for a walk with the cat following right along. That was pretty funny!!!

  8. I read Lies Women Believe (young women version)... last spring with my senior high small group girls and I loved it! The point that you have to know the Truth in order to recognize a lie really struck home with our group. So, we are working through Angie Smith’s Seamless this semester (s.l.o.w.l.y. bc my group struggles with daily homework). I hope your group loves the book as well!
