Photo Every Hour - Weekend

Rather than my typical "Weekend recap" I thought I'd do a "photo every hour" type post.  I'm not sure if I love this format but I'm giving it a whirl :)

Friday - 5:30 p.m.
Ready to watch Luke's very first baseball game!

6:45 p.m. - very first at bat EVER!!!

7:25 - Luke's game is over and I think we have a fan :)

8:30 p.m. - We've showered, eaten (Mason and G had pizza at the game) and are in our pjs on the couch watching Ferdinand.  This is where my pictures stop because mama was TIRED and asleep on the couch pre-10 p.m. ;)

Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - Rise and shine!  Griffin woke us up (she had dressed herself) and I enjoyed a cup of tea in bed while Dave got a makeover from Griffin :)

9:55 - Rolling in to dance class like...

10:40 - Griffin dances and I attempt to get our lives together via a calendar and a meal plan.

11:50 - We're at Luke's baseball game in time to watch him SCORE A RUN!!!  Y'all!!!  His second time at bat and he was so surprised/excited/THRILLED!!!

12:45 - Back at home for lunch and a couple special visitors stopped by!

1:30 - So enjoying our time with Davis even if it was 7 million degrees outside

2:45 - Back inside and showing Davis Luke's k'Nex roller coaster.

3:10 - Time to kiss our visitors goodbye :)

4:00 - catching up on house stuff we didn't get done earlier in the afternoon... folding laundry, watering plants, running the vacuum, etc.

5:35 - Prepping the easiest dinner of all time.  Amen.

6:30 - I dropped the ball on a pic, but dinner was over and I told the kids that if we all worked REALLY hard to get their rooms picked up, wiped down, vacuumed, etc. that I'd take them for ice cream in their pjs :)

7:35 - We did it!!! We loaded up and headed out to get ice cream.  We were making out way through the neighborhood when THIS happened...

I mean - how could we not stop, get out of the car and take a minute to talk about how the same God that made this sunset made them as well!

8:30 - bellies full of ice cream, teeth brushed and zonked OUT during Ferdinand.  Again.

9:10 p.m. - Kids are transferred to their beds and tucked in and I'm doing this...

10:30 p.m. - Working on a few upcoming blog posts and catching up on Grey's Anatomy - Dave got home around 11:30 but I was already out like a light.

Sunday - 7:30 a.m. - I'm showered and attempting to tame my mane :)  So ready to chop all of this off!

8:45 - Finishing getting ready for church...

9:05 - quick pre-Church pic :)

(I didn't take any pics at church... ooops!!!)

12:20 - Back at home and getting in a little play time before lunch...

1:00 - Flag football pictures for Mason and I ended up coming home with two extra boys ;)

2:10 - they needed a small snack... popcorn, macaroni and cheese and cookies :)  If you're ever looking for one of these boys you can find them in the pantry!

3:20 - Driveway full of kids!  My favorite!

4:40 - Luke and I are at a Nerf/paintball party and he is loaded up and ready to go :)

5:15 - Meanwhile back at home...

6:50 - Still at the party and attempting to get a couple of things done for school

I totally forgot to take pictures after we got home, but the rest of the night pretty much consisted of baths, getting folders and lunches ready and wrapping up this blog post :)

Happy Monday, friends!!!  Hoping y'all had a wonderful weekend!

  11. Have you tried Trader Joe's new pesto? It's in the refrigerated section near the cheeses (or at least at my store it is).

It's their "Vegan Kale, Cashew & Basil Pesto"and it's SO GOOD! It has some lemon in it which makes it so much "brighter" = great for Spring/Summer.

I know you're a fellow TJ's girl and the tortellini pic above reminded me so I wanted to share :)

  12. Oh Andrea, I loved this! The picture outside with the pink clouds, WOW! That was absolutely gorgeous. So, I have a question and you always have the best mom advice...My 10 year old really wants to play tackle football and hubby is all for it. Me, not so much. I've read so many bad things on brain injuries from this. Thoughts? Would you let your boys if they really wanted too?

  15. On Friday night, do you put your daughter’s hair up after washing it? My daughter has similar hair and I’m always trying to figure out how to best style it. If so and it stays up (looks like she had it up for dance), I’d love to know your secret!

  16. What color is your blue nail polish?!
