What's Up Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, friends!  Today I'm linking up with Shay, Sheaffer and Mel for What's Up Wednesday...

I feel like we have been RUNNING lately in the evenings with sports practices and other commitments so I've been falling back on what my kids call the "big plate dinner".

Dave will make a bunch of sandwiches in the morning (after we leave but before he heads into work) and leave them in the fridge.  Then when we get home I'll throw on some pretzels and/or cheetohs, fruit and hummus (and in this case leftover tortellini) and let the kids pick and choose what they want.  The LOVE this and when we're trying to turn around and be out the door in 45 mins and eat, change clothes and fit some homework in there as well it's the easiest and best option for us.

This memory showed up in my facebook feed yesterday and Y'ALL!!!  Keep in mind that I still had a month and a half to go (this was me pregnant with Griffin).

This one also popped up and it made me giggle :)

Over the weekend I bought a TON of purple tulips and have loved having them around the house - well, sweet Dave brought some up to me on Monday and having them in my classroom has been so sweet.

#allthesports :)  Practices, games and loving every minute of it.

And when did Luke start looking like a teenager?!?!

Rain, rain and more rain.  Seriously.   We need the sunshine!

Luke is working on a Mr. Popper's Penguins diorama and I'm having the best time watching him do his thing.

Birthday party plans are coming together!  I still can't believe my babies are going to be 10, 7 and 5!  I'm so excited to celebrate them in April but am even more excited to have their parties on the calendar :)

Now that the Olympics are over we're struggling with what to watch in the evenings - we'll probably get sucked into American Idol and I have zero shame about that :)  What are y'all watching and loving right now?

If you have kids you need to go download "Party Like a Preschooler".  It's so much fun and my kids love it!

I feel like it's all I've talked about for the last 5 days but I seriously can't get enough of  this dress.

I've also been wearing  this henley every chance I get.

Absolutely nothing!!!  We have no games, practices or birthday parties on the calendar (except for G's dance class) and I am SO EXCITED!!!  I have some trim paint to finish up in our bedroom, a mirror to hang and then I think we'll officially be DONE!  I also REALLY want to work on organizing all the kids school papers, so I'm hoping to have time for that as well.

Spring Break!!!  We tried to make plans for a big trip with the kids, but it ended up being too short of notice and so we went ahead and booked a hotel for a few days in San Antonio....

... we had plans to go last Spring Break but then we all got hit with the worst stomach bug EVER (to give you an idea of how bad it was I found myself googling "can diarrhea kill you") and had to cancel everything so we're excited to have a redo.  We also want to hit the drive-in movie and do a few things locally as well.  We're just crossing our fingers for good weather!

Not a whole lot (I feel like I say that every month) - but we did have to stop by Nike last night to grab Mason some NEW shoes and this girl was loving this hat ;)

I hope that y'all have an awesome Wednesday!!!

  11. You should check out the Pearl District in San Antonio! There is a huge grassy area for kids to play right next to hotel Emma. Food Hall overlooks the lawn and has several food stalls with yummy options that you can purchase and eat inside or outside on the lawn. The DoSeum is also fun for kids! Hope you have a great trip!

  15. My family loves San Antonio and the Riverwalk- have so much fun!

  16. I live in San Antonio and definitely agree with the above commenter who mentioned the Pearl. From there, you can also walk on a less crowded section of the Riverwalk. If you are into Texas History, the Institute of Texas Cultures (in the hemisfair -downtown), and Battle of Texas Experience (in Rivercenter Mall) are also interesting museums. Can't wait to read your trip recaps!

  20. Do you have any other music recommendations for kids? I have a 2 year old who LOVES music, so I'm always looking for new music/albums/pandora stations/apple music radio stations to play for him :) Thanks!
