I can't believe that I haven't shared this recipe before! I've made these for YEARS and they are so easy and delicious and when I made them Tuesday night I snapped a few pictures along the way to share.
Here's what you'll need...
- 4 cups of Bisquick
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup (not can!) of 7-up (or Sprite)
- 1 cup sour cream (I use reduced fat)
Step 1 - Melt the butter and pour most of it into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish
Step 2 - Cut the 1 cup of sour cream into the Bisquick, add the 1 cup of 7-UP and mix it all together with a wooden spoon. It's going to seem super sticky and that's totally okay. Promise!
Step 3 - Put the dough out on a floured surface (I use parchment paper so that it's easy to clean up), sprinkle a little more flour on top and then roll it out a bit. Use a biscuit cutter (or a measuring cup if you're like me and don't have a biscuit cutter) to cut 15 biscuits out and lay them in the baking dish.
(I rolled my dough out a little bit too thin and so I had dough left over that I rolled out again, cut out extra biscuits and then just put them on top of a few that were already in the dish)
Step 4 - Top with the rest of the melted butter and bake at 425 for about 20 minutes or when they start to brown.
The absolute best part of them though is the bottom. SO GOOD!
Happy Thursday, friends!
And now I’m starving and craving some biscuits!!
ReplyDeleteCan you bring some to my house? Stat?
ReplyDeleteYummmm!!! Thank you for sharing. I am all about tasty recipes that don't require 10+ ingredients that I probably don't have at home already. :p
ReplyDeleteUm...TRYING!
ReplyDeleteOh, these look delish!
ReplyDeleteThese are my absolute favorite!! I make them all the time for my family.
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of our favorite recipes! I don’t ever roll out/cut the biscuits though. I just drop spoonfuls into the pan and call them drop biscuits- much quicker and easier, and they taste the same! ;)
ReplyDeleteYes! Looks like something I can actually make that resembles making something from scratch, lol
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a recipe I can follow successfully! Can't wait to try!
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to try this recipe. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteYour recipes are always family favs! Cant wait to try these. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYum! I'm not the best baker so I usually stick to the ol' standby, Pillsbury, but these I might be able to make!
ReplyDeleteI made these a few years ago. Mine turned out too greasy. Will have to give the recipe another go.
ReplyDeleteWell butter my buns and call me a biscuit!
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious. Darn it. Now I'm craving biscuits!
ReplyDeleteI have tried to pin several of your recipes and I can't get the pin button at the end of each post to work and there are no save buttons on any of the pics! Help....what am I doing wrong?
