Enchant

The week before Christmas we bought tickets to go check out Enchant - the world's largest Christmas lights maze and since this was the first year for it to be it in the US we weren't 100% sure what to expect and y'all... it did not disappoint!

Right when we walked in we were greeted by an entire sleigh of lights....

... and then we made our way into the Christmas market.

We perused the booths, sampled food, picked out a few ornaments and made our way over to the lights maze.

I can honestly say that I've never experienced anything like this and it was so cool to get to experience it as a family.

This light tunnel ran the length of the maze and was SO COOL!

When we entered the maze they gave us each a reindeer scratch off card and as we worked our way through the maze we scratched them off.

Every new section that we walked through was better than the one before...

There was a mirrored tunnel FULL of hanging lights and it was absolute magic!

I. Mean.

We were making our way through the maze when I heard, "Mrs. McAnally!" through the crowd.  Y'all.  Amanda was in my very FIRST group of 8th graders 12 years ago!  One of the very best parts of my job is seeing these kids all grown up and successful and REAL adults!  It never ever gets old.

After the maze we headed over to the food truck and stage area to grab some hot cocoa and all of Griffin's dreams came true when she got to go up on stage ;)

The singer was an absolutely precious 16-year old girl who could not have been nicer to the kids that were there.  GG was absolutely starstruck!

While the boys set off to find funnel cake Griffin and I stopped into one of the little stores...

... and then we all had funnel cake (THE BEST!) while we waited to get our skates.

I feel like this picture kind of sums up our first time around the rink :)

There were a TON of people on the ice and it had been a LONG time since any of us had been on skates but we managed to get around the rink in one piece :)

Griffin was not feeling a second time around so she and I turned in our skates and decided to watch the boys from off the ice.

Can you spot my boys down there?!?!

The crowds started to clear and we decided to head back into the maze and it was the best thing we did all night.  It was so much less crowded and the kids could roam a little bit more and we were able to enjoy it in a totally different way.

We had avoided Santa's magic globe earlier in the night because it was so busy, but there were only a couple of people in line so we decided to make one last stop and see The Big Guy.

MAGIC!

It closed at 11:00 and we were walking out at like 10:55 :)  Seriously the best time.

If you have a chance to head to Enchant next year I highly recommend it.  It took us several hours to do everything there and we were so glad that we stayed later until the crowds thinned out a bit.  The kids "oooohed and aaahed" the entire night and we could have stayed another hour at least.

Happy Wednesday, friends!
