Friday Favorites - Pumpkin Carving Edition

Happy Friday, friends!  Erika, Narci and I are sharing our FAVORITES from the week and we'd love for you to join us!  You can link up your blog at the very bottom of this post ;)

Monday afternoon was one of our FAVORITE afternoon/evenings of the year.... pumpkin carving!

This year we mixed it up a bit and we used  these punches and it was so much fun because the kids laid out their faces and then Dave and I got them started and the kids hammered them through.

Look how cute they turned out!!!  And the best part was that she did it herself (pretty much) and was so proud!

Last week Jelly Bean was pretty hesitant to head outside and this week she's been exploring more (when we're outside with her) and she's found a perfect little perch.

It's also the best spot for her and Jack Bauer to interact :)  They've met in person a couple of times and I'm not sure who's more terrified.

 "Seriously, mom?!?!"

Anthropologie's holiday line came out a week or so ago and I picked up a few of my FAVORITES.

I adore a fun tea towel and  this Fa La La La LLAMA one is absolutely precious.

These come as  a set of three and I can't decide which one is my FAVORITE.

And you know that  this ornament had to come home with this "plant lady" :)

The weather has been a little bit wonky this week, but we've been spending our afternoons outside and have been working on letters at the same time.

Work hard, play hard, right?!?!? :)

And while GG  puzzles, Jelly Bean does this :)

... and this...

... and this ;)

And I was doing this...

The kids brought home some amazing art this week.  Here are a few of my FAVORITES...

Painted pumpkin by GG and Family Portrait by Mason

Mason made this "spinner" where you can zoom in and out and he was so proud of it!

And Luke brought home his own constellation...

... and an awesome bug jar.  I think I want to frame this one I love it so much!

I picked  this book up a couple of weeks ago and it is for sure a new fan FAVORITE around here.  The illustrations are so fun and the story is cute and endearing.

And last but not least if you're looking for me on a cold day this winter you'll probably find me in my FAVORITE  pullover sweaterleggings and  moccasins.  This sweater is heavy but not hot and oversized but not bulky.

This is the most awkward picture ever (pretty sure I have a mouth full of toast), but I wanted you to get an idea of the size/shape.

Happy Friday again, friends!  This weekend we have two birthday parties, a fun night out with friends and Thanksgiving decorating on our agendas, how about you???

  4. I've never seen those punches before for pumpkin carving. What a great idea! Also, I love GG's boots during the pumpkin carving - where'd you get them? Yay for finally being able to wear some fall clothes in Texas. :)
