What's Up Wednesday

I'm linking up today with  Shay,  Sheaffer and  Mel for their What's Up Wednesday and I can NOT believe that it's the last Wednesday of the month!  Where the heck did October go?!?!

This week last year was when Dave's youngest brother got married and I've loved reminiscing about the whole day and how PRECIOUS these three looked!

The last couple of weeks have been ALL about the creamed corn.  I call it "kind of " creamed corn because it's not REALLY true creamed corn but it's creamy and AMAZING!  It's one of the easiest recipes I make but any time I take it somewhere I get asked multiple times for the recipe.  I brought it for a lower school teacher luncheon last week as well as to the Harvest Party last weekend and it was a hit both times.  The basic recipe is 1 bag frozen corn (cooked in the microwave), 2 oz cream cheese and 1/2 stick butter or margarine.  You dump everything in the crock pot (or you can warm it through in a pan on the stove) and warm it through and that's it!  When I'm making it for a crowd I'll use 6 bags of corn, 1.5 blocks of cream cheese and 3 sticks of butter/margarine.

We have family photos on the agenda for next month and I've ben loving putting outfits together for pictures.  I'm wearing  this top and  sweater (both 25% off right now!) and plan on incorporating mustard, rust, gray, green and cream.  Can't wait!!!

We ate last night at Hat Creek Burgers here in McKinney and we had the BEST time!  It just opened and was super busy (it was family night and they had 1/2 off burgers) but the atmosphere was so family friendly and fun and we can't wait to go back.  They have an indoor dining section, but then this huge covered patio with picnic tables and heaters and a slide that opens up to a fenced-in play area.

I can't get this picture to turn for the LIFE of me but look how cute with the twinkle lights!

Not really anything at the moment!  I'm feeling super "on top" of my school stuff right now which has been great!

Christmas shopping!  Yes... I know it's a little bit crazy, but I like to be done early so I'm working on shopping and putting together some kids gift guides that I'll share next week.

Halloween!!! The anticipation has started to build and we're talking about candy, trick-or-treating and ALL the fun things happening next week!

We're carving our pumpkins this week and I picked up  this kit on Amazon where you pretty much push the little punches into the pumpkins and then let kids use a mallet to punch them through.

I've watched this pep rally video at least 5 times and I like it more each time.  It's so creative and well done adn hard to believe that it's at a high school pep rally!

I can't stop listening to this!!! LOOOOVE IT!!!  It's been our "morning jam out song" as we head to school :)

It's finally cooling off and I could almost cry I'm so excited :)  Here are a few of my favorites that I've been wearing...

All the regular things!  Recouping from the week and throwing in some football, errands and (hopefully) a trip to the arboretum.

Thanksgiving!!! Not only does it mean ALL THE FOOD, but it also means a whole week off with the kids which I am so excited about!

We got a kitty!!!  I'll share more details on Friday, but for now I'll leave you with this pic of Jellybean Jones :)

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!
