Friday Favorites - Loose Tooth Edition

Happy Friday, friends!  Erika, Narci and I are all sharing our FAVORITES this week and we'd love for you to join in!  All you have to do is link back to one (or all!) of us and then add your link at the bottom of this post.

We've had a couple of unseasonably cool mornings this week and we've been loving it!  Jackets in the morning are our FAVORITE!

Mason has his first loose tooth and it brought about one of my FAVORITE big/little brother moments thus far...

Can you see the string??? :)

We counted down, he fired it and nothing happened.  But they're still plotting other ways to pull it out dramatically :)

A good movie night crash session is one of our FAVORITES.

Our new FAVORITE breakfast?  Trader Joe's cinnamon swirl bread toasted with butter.
OH MY WORD
It's thick cut and so so so good!

It's no secret that Playstreet is Griffin's FAVORITE place and Pre-K has cut into her Playstreet time :)  They're closed for private parties on the weekend so we took advantage of the day off on Monday and headed to the Allen location.  We picked up Mason's bestie and the kids played from 1:00 - 5:00 and would have played longer but they were closing.

SO EXCITED to be at Playstreet!

And while the kids played, I sat with the other grownups and did this...

I went out on a limb and ordered a scarf from Amazon for our scarf exchange this week and when it arrived I fell in LOVE!!! I ordered two so I could try one out and then bring one to the party and I think it's going to be the perfect piece for Fall.

When I pulled it out of the package I was thoroughly confused because it looked like this...

But then I realized that it was a tube and was actually an infinity scarf AND a long scarf.  Such a great deal and an easy to wear piece this fall.  You can click  HERE to check it out (mine is the khaki color)

And  this dress is a new FAVORITE.

Another one of my FAVORITE things about the cooler weather is playing outside after dinner with a sweatshirt on and a cup of tea next to me :)

This week I was treated to a singing show and a bike riding exhibition all at the same time!

Last week Dave and I had parent night for the boys classes and so we made a date night out of it :)  Meetings at school followed by dinner, a couple or errands and ice cream.  With a bonus rainbow sighting while in line waiting for ice cream!

FAVORITE!!!

While we were eating ice cream, the kids were back at home with one of their FAVORITE people!

Griffin's teacher does a "mystery reader" every week where the kids sit down for circle time and then she opens the door and in walks a family member of one of the kids.  Last week my dad was the reader and I wish y'all could have seen G's face when the door opened and in walked Haha!

He read Silly Tilly to her class and she was so proud!!!

Each family got to sign up for several slots and so Dave, Dave's mom and both my boys have weeks to read this year!  It's such a cute idea!

This weekend we have a lot of fun things planned - celebrating Beau turning two, Mason's first flag football game and a Texas Rangers game! WOO HOO!  Hoping you have lots of fun plans as well!  Happy Friday, friends!

  1. First of all, that black floral dress is everything! I adore it! Second, my husband and I just laughed so hard at the tooth attached to the nerf gun! Totally something my boys would do. I better not give them any ideas! Thanks for the laugh this morning!

  7. I have some friends that live in McKinney and I'm always so jealous when they post pictures of their kids at Play Street. I wish we had such a fun place near us! And I agree with the comment above - I love that black floral dress. It looks like it's selling out fast too! My size is already gone. :(

  9. So this totally wasn't listed as one of your favorites, but I love the tablescape with all the metallic pumpkins and I'm totally stealing that idea!!! (if I can round that many up) I also completely love that your kids call your dad Haha. I think that's about the cutest name ever for a grandad. (I'm constantly trying to figure out what we will be called when that day arrives, which won't be for a while) That's a totally cool scarf! Love that you can use it different ways. Happy weekend Andrea!

  11. Tooth pulling makes me gag but I was laughing hard at your boys' plan! My son pulled his tooth out with a remote controlled monster truck this summer. He was so proud. I was so grossed out, HA!
