Weekend Recap - Pizza and Pretzels Edition :)

Friday was crazy, y'all.

I had a staff meeting and then Dave and I shuffled kids around and he took Luke to a birthday party followed by a sleepover.  We were missing our biggest guy but the littles and I headed downtown to explore a bit, grab some pizza and then head to Mason's baseball game.

They're so funny together!  She kept trying to make him laugh and he kept trying to keep a straight face :)

It was GORGEOUS out and we got a table out on the patio.  Pizza, pretzels, patio... perfection.

I'm telling you, they bring out the strange in  each other :)

That.  Face.

I mean!!!

These two can FIGHT like crazy - but they can also be the loviest and sweetest!

A quick change of clothes in the car and we were off to baseball...

Cheering for her big brother! (and toting around a spray bottle of water... her toy of choice at the moment).

Cutest little baseball player EVER!

Haha came to watch and we were excited for him to get to see Mason... and carry some of us to the car :)

Saturday Morning Mason had another baseball game and GG had dance pictures so Dave and I divided and conquered.  I texted Dave to see how Mason was doing and got this response :)

Meanwhile, GG was at the dance studio getting her recital pictures done.  But let's be real... it's all about the trophy :)

I can barely do my own makeup... so it wasn't shocking that I had a hard time doing G's.  We did manage to get on some mascara and blush and then another mom did her "lipstick".   I couldn't get over her lashes with mascara!

Cutest little class...

They rehearsed their recital number and then it was time for trophies!

A quick face scrub and outfit change and we were out to run some errands...

... including a stop to get #alltheflowers for a special Mother's Day surprise

We came home, ate lunch and then it was time to try my hand at floral arranging.  Y'all.  This is so not my thing.  But, I had pretty materials and so I made it work.

Y'all... the smelled SO GOOD!  They were only in my house for a couple of hours and my whole family room was fragrant.

The kids played outside and I cleaned a bit and spent some time getting graduation gifts ready.  I can't believe it's already time!!! I had the middle school semi-formal that night and when I told Mason that my mom was coming to watch them instead of Anna Grace because she had her graduation party his exact words were, "that can't be right!" and I totally agree! ;)

I swung by the graduation party before it got started to drop gifts off and is this not the cutest barn EVER!?!?!

After that I headed to the country club where the semi-formal that was already set up and decorated inside was being moved outside due to the AC being out.  Seriously.  It was CRAZY hot inside and so everything got moved last minute and it ended up working perfectly.  The huge balloons kept getting pulled off the balcony with the wind, but that was the only issue.

And it was hard to be too upset about the situation with this view...

We had a beautiful sunset, photo booth, chocolate fountain, good music and GREAT food (for the chaperones - hahaha)...

And the perk of having your event at your husband's place of work? Photobooth :)  It was mildly awkward having an audience of middle schoolers, but we had a great time.

Sunday morning Dave headed in to work bright and early for a BIG Mother's Day and these three and I headed to church.

Isn't GG's dress the cutest?!?! It's linen and I adore the cut and colors.  You can find it HERE.
(It runs small so order a size up... Griffin is in a 5)

We spent the rest of the afternoon napping, catching up on grading and writing this blog post.  The rest of our Mother's Day celebration will have to be on another day as I'm signing off with no intention of being back on the computer tonight :)

Happy Monday, Friends!!!

PS - the link for the dress was an affiliate link - thank you so much for supporting my blog!

  11. Sorry if this double posts, I wasn't signed in so not sure if it worked before.

Mason is a lefty right? They often put the lefty on first, because it puts him at the correct angle to catch and throw the ball. First base is a very important position, so its always good to have a lefty on the team!! (though right handers can play it, leftys usually play it best) It took me about 8 years as a baseball mom to learn that one haha.
