Friday Favorites - Back To Reality Edition

Happy Friday, Friends!!!  After a week off we're back to reality - but this week has been a great one and the perfect way to ease back into routine.

Erika, Narci and I are all sharing our FAVORITES this week and we would love for you to join us!  Grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share your favorites from the week as well.

First up on my list are some super precious pictures from Stephen and Cynthia's wedding!  We got to see what the wedding photographers snapped and look how sweet!!!

Dave walked his Granny down the aisle #love

The kids with Dave's parents.  But the next one is my FAVORITE...

SO FUNNY!!!!

A whole lot of McAnallys! :)

ADORE the pictures!!!

Next up is Mason's art.  Drawing is still has FAVORITE pastime and he comes home with lots of great art every day.

Apparently he draws poke-balls for other kids at school :) hahaha

Mason on a surfboard with wheels that can drill into mountains :)

I picked up this sweater dress during Anthropologie's Black Friday sale and it's a new FAVORITE because it is SO SO SO SOFT!!!  I wore it yesterday with tights

While I adore the sweater dress, I think that I may love this swing dress just a teeny bit more.  The fabric is INSANELY soft (it's cotton, but it feels almost like tencel) and I'll be able to wear this Spring and early summer as well.

I threw it on yesterday afternoon but will try to get better pictures next week.  I wore it with this scarf and think it will be perfect with riding boots.

And yes.... it's swingy... but since the fabric is heavy it drapes really nicely and isn't overly billowy.  I found it to be true to size although the arms are snug (which looks great since the dress is more flowy), but keep that in mind if you order.

When I ordered the dresses I also ordered a couple of Volcano candles in the new shimmery jar and they are SO PRETTY!!!

Mason's FAVORITE event from this week was his very first field trip!  Yesterday I got to chaperone his trip to the Dallas Children's Theater and he and his little seat buddy were so pumped about the school bus!

Talking about how awesome the bus was :)

We snap chatted on the way down there :)

 Crazy friends :)

At the theater and ready to see Charlie Brown Christmas!

I mean!!! Look how fun!!!
(I grabbed the photo from HERE).

The bus ride and play was exhausting :) and I had two sleepy kids in my row on the way home :)

It was such a fun morning and a wonderful first field trip.  Their next field trip is to the Dallas Zoo in the Spring and Dave is signed up to chaperone that one :)

The summer before last WhimsyBoo sent my kids each a bamboo hooded towel and I reviewed them HERE.   Over the last year and a half we have used them hundreds of times and they are amazing!  They wash and dry beautifully and look brand new.  Mason even used his as his naptime blanket during pre-K last year because it was so soft :)

When they got in touch and asked if I'd like to try out their washcloths and adult pool towels I quickly jumped on the opportunity.  Look how fun!

The washcloths are SO SOFT and the kids even commented on how much they love them.

These are the baby size and they are PERFECT for the kids .

I am SO EXCITED to see everyone's Christmas decorations next Tuesday for show and tell Tuesday!  Here's a little peek into my FAVORITE little corner :)

That cupcake ornament she has her hand on is her FAVORITE!

We love December!

Tomorrow is special because 11 years ago on December 3rd I married my FAVORITE person EVER!!!

Dave is selfless and loyal and committed and he is THE BEST partner I could ever ask for.

When we selected our wedding verse we picked Matthew 7:25,  "The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.".

We got a couple of side eyes, as it's not your typical "Love is patient, love is kind sentiment", but it was important to us that the verse we picked represented our marriage and the commitment that we both had to building our marriage foundation on Christ.  We've had our share of gusty days and rain showers, and knowing that we're not going to crumble is an assurance I can't imagine not having.

Do we bicker? Sure.  I get overwhelmed at times and snap at Dave for stupid things like putting a cup with the teensiest bit of milk in it back in the fridge and Dave gets frustrated with me for leaving all the lights on at all times - but at the end of the day we're partners in the truest sense of the world.  We pick up each other's slack, try to give each other the benefit of the doubt and accept each other - flaws and all.  Happy Anniversary to my very best friend!

Happy Friday, Friends!!!

  3. Happy Anniversary! What a great verse for a marriage. We used 1 John 4:16, 'We love because He first loved us.' We too wanted a different verse. :)

  9. Happy anniversary!! I also love to the choice of wedding verse. A foundation built on Christ is so important! Quick question, I tried to use the promo code for the lovely washcloths, and it's not working. Any advice?

  10. Happy Anniversary to you! My hubby & I are celebrating 22 years tomorrow! December 3rd is a great wedding day! We were joking because our big plans are to drop our son off at his job, and drop our daughter at a birthday party at the mall. So we will grab dinner in the mall and then have her join us. Not overly romantic but just perfect for us :) Enjoy your special day! Love your blog!
