Friday Favorites - Longest Post Ever Edition ;)

Happy Friday, Friends!!!

Thank you so much to all of the veterans and those currently serving our country. Your sacrifices don't go unnoticed.

Like always Erika, Narci and I are linking up and sharing our FAVORITES form the week and we'd love for you to link up and join us!  Don't forget to grab our graphic and link back to one (or all!) of us.

First up on my list is one of my FAVORITE things that our school does - Community Service days!  Last Friday I spent the morning and afternoon with a group of middle schoolers at a local horse rescue.

They had some GORGEOUS animals out there and it is always a blast to watch the kids in a different environment.  They cleaned buckets, mucked stalls, picked up trash, loved on the animals and did anything else they were asked.  These days always make me so proud of them!

A soft horse nose is my FAVORITE ;)

Muddy boots are a sign of a good time, right?  I used to hunter jump when I was younger and when my mom picked me up from the barn she said she could always judge how good a day I'd had out there by how dirty I was.  ;)  Apparently it still holds true.

Saturday morning I kept it casual in a few of my FAVORITE comfies for a morning of errands and dance.

And Griffin wore her FAVORITE skirt.... which has become her go-to piece. hahaha

Mason tagged along to dance class and we were there a few minutes early (no clue how that happened. hahaha) and these two drawing in their journals was my FAVORITE!

The way she looks at him is my FAVORITE!

My very FAVORITE shoes ever are BACK and available in several different colors!  These clogs are incredibly comfortable and versatile.  LOVE THEM!!!  And they're 25% off right now! WOO HOO!

We hit up Trader Joes and if you have one close by you need to head there ASAP because they had these cute little advent calendars (with a chocolate for every day!) for 99 cents.  NINETY NINE CENTS!!!  I grabbed one for each of the kids and put them away for next month.

Changing out a few things seasonally on this wall in Griffin's room is my FAVORITE way to add a little festive touch in her space.

Mason had his last soccer game and he played SO WELL!!!  Watching him learn a sport and work with his team has been my FAVORITE!

We finished off the season with a team party (God bless Mason's coach who offered up her house for the party!)...

... and we got his pictures back ;)

Last Saturday afternoon I had all three kids down on the square to get Luke to a birthday party (I parallel parked and everything!) only to realize that the party is THIS weekend not last.  UGH!!!

We made the most of the situation and hit up a couple of our FAVORITE places and explored a bit on the square.

This picture from 4 years ago showed up on my newsfeed this week.  It's still one of my FAVORITES!

The weather here has been PERFECTION and I've been breaking out lots of my FAVORITE layers :)

Mason brought home some of my FAVORITE art this week - he is seriously so creative! :)

And Griffin's new boots (the ones I found on sale!) are her FAVORITE footwear :)

Luke's FAVORITE moment from the week was when he lost a tooth!  Seriously... I think it was his 3rd or 4th.... several of his friends are getting braces and he's still waiting to lose his front teeth. hahaha  I was the same way and so I feel his pain :)  His crazy excited face is my FAVORITE!

I volunteered in Luke's class this week to help the kids with their Native American dioramas.  Watching his group work together and be creative was my FAVORITE!

Some late night basketball in the crisp cool air has been a FAVORITE this week as well :)

And making notes and being creative is a FAVORITE part of my work day...

The coziest jammy pants (they're only $12!!!) and pullover, hanging out outside AND a red cup.  All FAVORITES!!!

And this....

And last but not least....

I HATE leaving her in the mornings, but her little wave is my FAVORITE ;)

This weekend our schedule is pretty clear (except for the party that is actually happening. hahaha) and I'm looking forward to some downtime with my littles.

Happy Weekend, Friends!!!

  7. I'm not sure if you've ever thought about doing this, but if you sold your handwritten notes and math worksheets on teachers pay teachers you would do SO well. Your notes are so creative and aesthetically appealing. If only they were elementary I know I would buy them!

  12. Your worksheet made me smile and I hope your students forever remember how to figure percent changes!

(I work in economics and occasionally hear people refer to an 80% to 85% change as a 5% increase and I cringe. 5 percentage points or a 6.25% increase! And now I can think to myself... that's middle school math, folks! haha)

  16. I'm so glad you added the temp to one of your pictures. I was trying to figure out how you dealt with all those layers in Texas! I'm in Ohio and haven't been wearing all the layers just yet. :) Love your new cuff. Have you heard if she'll be opening shop for Christmas orders? Would love to order. Great job on the parallel parking -- something I NEVER do! Enjoy your weekend!
