Show and Tell Tuesday - Three Things I Can't Live Without

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  Today for Show and Tell Tuesday we're sharing 3 things we can't live without.  It's 10:35 p.m. on Monday night and after a packed weekend and SUPER busy day I'm thinking sleep, a shower and an extra day of the weekend are what I really need :)

I figured there were two ways I could go with this post... Faith, Family and Friends (the "givens") or a little more lighthearted and I've opted for the latter.  So today I'm sharing three simple little things that I "can't live without".

- HOT TEA -

Growing up I used to play tea party in a blanket fort under our kitchen table and my mom always filled my tea pot up with hot English Breakfast tea.  I would get to pour in milk and a sugar cube and it was so fun.  When we moved from Canada to North Carolina I can remember my parents ordering tea in a restaurant and being totally confused that it was iced and not hot.  I love hot tea first thing in the morning, when I get home from work in the afternoon and all summer long despite the heat.  I only drink English Breakfast Tea (this one is my favorite), but if I'm not drinking hot tea I'm probably drinking iced black tea or a peach green tea lemonade from Starbucks.

- FLIP FLOPS -

I don't think life for me would be the same without flip flops :)  I wear them ALL THE TIME and even have a couple of pairs that I wear inside as house shoes (unless it's super cold, then I do UGG slippers, but 95% of the time it's flip flops).  Since I have to lug a bunch of stuff back and forth to work and it can be a hike to my classroom from the parking lot on certain days I will often throw them into my bag and change into them before I leave.  They're just the best.  I'm picky about them though... they can't be too thick, the straps can't be too wide, etc.  This pair has been my go-to all summer.

- SWEATSHIRTS -

I definitely have my own style and I love having fun with my clothes, but as soon as I get home the sweatshirt comes on.  My friends can attest to this fact as post 5:00 I am likely to answer the door, drop something by your house and/or run to the grocery store in a big, oversized, ugly hoodie :)  It could be 100 degrees out and I'm in a sweatshirt inside my house.  The bigger, baggier, more worn in the better.  Life without big ol' sweatshirts would be a ROUGH one.

There you go! A mug of hot tea, snuggled up in a hoodie with my toes in a pair of flip flops - perfection :)  I'm excited to read about what three things y'all can't live without as well.

If you don't have a blog to link up - be sure to leave your three things in the comments below!

Also, I have no idea why, but I didn't pick a second Show and Tell Tuesday topic or date for September... so let's do this...  on September 20th let's Show and Tell about our favorite blog posts EVER!  Look back through your archives and share a few that are special to you, were really popular, you poured your SOUL into, etc.

Happy Tuesday, Friends!!!

  7. Girl. If weather permitted, I could wear a sweatshirt every single day. They are my fave! And yep, the bigger, more worn, the better!

I basically wear flip flops every single day. And I've never been a hot tea drinker, but would love to try it.

  8. I LOVE sweatshirts too and if I'm at home, I'm usually in one, summer or not! I have one that I've had since before my 15-year-old was born (I wore it a lot while pregnant with her) and it's finally on it's last leg! Ha!
