Happy Friday, Friends!!! Can you even believe that next Friday is my last Friday of summer?!?!?!
This summer has absolutely FLOWN by and while we didn't do anything major (other than move and settle into our new house) - we've had the best time.
As always - grab our graphic, link back to one (or all) of us and share your Friday Favorites!
Earlier this week I shared pictures of our living and dining rooms and they were clean and tidy and child free - and while I love me some vacuum lines this view of the room is my FAVORITE. ;)
With school just around the corner I'm crossing things off my to-do-list and one of those things was ordering Mason a new backpack. I'm not sure what Mason did with his backpack between drop-off and pick-up every day, but that thing was toast at the end of the year :) We switched up brands to see if it would be a little more durable for him and he LOVES the colors!
You can check out the backpack HERE on sale!
It is a full size backpack... but for folders and such we find that size to work the best. Plus, we're hoping he'll have this one for a few years. #fingerscrossed
Jack Bauer has a new FAVORITE spot and if you're looking for him you'll probably be able to find him sitting on the back of the couch in our bedroom.
Spoiled much?
I've raved about Hippie Chick dozens of times - Ariele is an awesome friend and she has tons of cute things at great prices. This week I picked up a super cute coverup/top from her and I'm in love! Apparently Jack Bauer liked it too :) It's a comfy jersey material and I think it will be great with jeans and a tank as well.
And the tassels! Oh, the tassels :)
During the school year I'm not a big reader, but with the extra time this summer I've been enjoying reading and am hoping to keep it up once school starts back again.
My FAVORITE book so far has been this one. I know I was late to the party but I seriously couldn't put it down. I'm reading Necessary Lies right now and am loving it as well.
Griffin's FAVORITE spot to nap this week? Her biggest brother's bed :)
We're still on a puzzle kick and this one was our FAVORITE so far. The boys loved all the characters and we worked through it really fast.
Another FAVORITE this week has been fort building... if by fort you mean a ton of pillows with a bunch of toys piled on top ;)
One of my very FAVORITE companies is Evys Tree and this week I got to help promote two of their brand new hoodies - so fun!
The first one was the layering leaves. It's reversible and super lightweight. I think it will look so cute underneath a puffer vest this winter.
And next is my FAVORITE style they design - the Sophie!
I had it on over this top and loved the purple and green together.
The green is sold out, but there are several other colors available for 40% off and I love how the lace peeks out of the bottom of the Sophie.
The color is FABULOUS and it has this great lace detailing in the hood. New FAVORITE hoodie for sure :)
Snuggling up with my whole crew for an afternoon movie is my FAVORITE
And falling asleep on the couch after swimming is her FAVORITE...
And speaking of snuggling, this was a FAVORITE too :)
And snuggling is that much better when you're wearing this ($40 off right now!!!) ;)
So the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is open to non-card holders today and I shared my FAVORITES last week HERE. These kitties are even sweeter in person!
I spent a little more time perusing the sale and I'm pondering this cape as well...
Watercolors have been a FAVORITE this week...
... as has Captain Underpants. Not great literature by any stretch of the imagination, but he's reading for fun so I'm counting it a win. ;) We've been to the library about 4 times in the last week getting books that we've requested and returning ones that he's finished. HE can't get enough!
Last up on my list of FAVORITES for the week is this outfit...
Y'all. The jeans I grabbed for under $20 and they're a little bit big (they're a 3), but they're teeny mini flares and I can hardly stand to look at them they're so sweet :) You can find the top HERE (it runs small!)
When the jeans came in the mail I wanted to try them on her and couldn't resist throwing the top on as well. ;)
Happy Friday, Friends!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Except that she looks way too old for my liking :) hahaha
DeleteIs Olivia in year round school? That's what I was in when I lived in NC and I LOVED it!
I can't get over Griffin's outfit with the flairs!!! ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteRight?!?! When did she turn 12???
DeleteLittle girl's flares get me every time! So cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of the equivalent of baby boys in button downs and khakis :)
DeleteAndrea, your comment about your son's backpack lasting a few years made me chuckle. My kids are so hard on backpacks that they don't even last a full year. And my kids are only in preschool! Ha! I am totally crushing on that blush cape! It is gorgeous! Thanks for the link up and do pop over and link up On the Edge of the Week! Have a fabulous weekend.

DeleteKid forts are the best! My husband and I even enjoy crawling under there with them. And how cute Griffin's favorite spot to nap is in her brother's bed. Precious! Have a good weekend. Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI love a good fort :) Thanks for the sweet comment!!!
DeleteHoly crap, at $50+ I hope that backpack does last! I went w the everyday basic for 20 bucks and am keeping my fingers crossed. The hoodies & cardigan have me looking forward to Fall. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteHahaha - It has great reviews and appears to hold up well so I'm willing to give it a shot if it means I don't have to replace it midyear or next year!
DeleteIt's crazy that school is getting ready to start back up for you guys. I think we have 5 weeks left and that is stressing me out. This summer has flown by too fast! I'm not ready!
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready, but I'm also really excited about the new school year. There is nothing better than the beginning of school!!!
DeleteI know you have said before, but where are the art placemats from? Thx!!
ReplyDeleteAmazon! And there's a direct link on my post from Wednesday of this week. You'll love them!!!
DeleteGG looks so stinking cute in that outfit! I love that shirt!
ReplyDeletethank you!!!
DeleteGreat Post! Love your new haircut. You should look into LL Bean backpacks. They are guaranteed for life! If in 10 years there is an issue with it, they will still replace it. Great for boys that are rough with them. We also had Pottery Barn backpacks for my daughter (who is gentle quiet girl), and in middle of the second year using it, it ripped near the handle up top. My rule is a new backpack every two years. She got a new PB one to start third grade and did last two years. Her most recent one was Lands End and still seems very good. Friends have suggested LL Bean and Lands end, however was told LL Bean ones are the absolute best! Somehow my only child is starting 6th grade. Will get a locker and all. Time goes way too fast!! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the jeans link - great cut/price! Question: I really want one of the MJ backpacks when they are released. Can I order through you?
ReplyDeleteI always purchased ones with lifetime warranties. The ones that we purchased for my sons when they entered highschool were used through college and beyond. We never had to have them replaced. I even machine washed them. :)
