Weekend Recap: We're In Edition

Happy Monday, friends!
It's Sunday night and I just sat down to write this post and MAN is this weekend a blur.
Friday morning we closed on the new house and pretty much after that it was non-stop.
Movers, painters, deliveries, internet, TV, etc., etc. etc.

I'm happy to say that everything went smoothly... all of our stuff is here and there were minimal tears :)  Moving is STRESSFUL and add onto that three kids and it can be pretty darn overwhelming.  We can't say thank you enough to my parents who helped us a TON and made the process 2000 times easier than it would have been otherwise.

We are settling in and I'm trying to work a room at a time getting things unpacked and set up.  The problem is that I have to see everything out in order to pick and choose where I want things, so our dining and living room look like Homegoods threw up in them :)

I finished up the kitchen Sunday night and got most of the family room done as well.  Our last day of school is Thursday and I can't WAIT to start working on the other rooms.

Thank you so much for all the sweet encouragement this weekend and really through this entire process.  I feel like I had dozens and dozens of personal cheerleaders and it was seriously the best.

Also, this cute kid graduates from PreK today!!!  I'll have more on that later this week, but the short version is that we're crazy proud of him.

Tomorrow is Show and Tell Tuesday and the topic is Favorite vacations!  I need a vacation right about now so I'm excited to peruse everyones posts!

Happy Monday, Friends!!!

  3. Please come decorate my house haha!!! I love how you've set yours up. You are like me--when we moved into our house last summer, I worked nonstop to get everything unpacked and put away because it drives me crazy to live in boxes. I just wanted everything normal!

  32. Girl, How do you do everything?!? Your new house looks great already! Just a note on the red in the dining room.....I love it!!! My husband wanted red kitchen cabinets, yes, red, bright red! He won and he painted them! (which was quite an ordeal!) But I absolutely love them! Everyone of my friends that has used red in their homes has loved it! Can't wait to see how you decorate everything! And that Mason! Just too stinkin' cute!
